Until recently, I was buying all my maternity clothes at Motherhood--but, I couldn't justify spending $100 on a coat I would only wear for a few months. So, I checked Walmart & saw that they added a few outwear pieces. Let me tell you, for $20, I was not expecting much--I was just hoping it would get me through the winter. This coat went above & beyond my expectations! It's fleece lined and pretty heavy, which will work great for the horrible winters here. It's not the most stylish coat, but puffer coats never are, so I knew what I was getting myself into with that one. I'd definitely recommend this jacket to other moms-to-be!

I am due in Jan and live in MN, and didn't want to spend a ton on a maternity coat that I would only wear for a couple months. Most maternity stores charge at least $75. I didn't have high expectations when I ordered this, but it is perfect! I am 5'9 150lbs and ordered the large, it fits really well in the arms, and is long enough, plus there is plenty of room to grow in the belly. I would highly recommend this! You can't beat it for the price!

When I received my jacket I was blown away by the thickness and fleece lining. I thought I would have to definitely layer as the months got colder. I'm due in February and know this jacket will be perfect till my due date. There is a smaller cuffing around the wrists so the wind doesn't go up your sleeves which is very nice. The fit is perfect and there is plenty of room left to grow in the belly area. My belly tends to get very large and I have had issues fitting into other maternity jackets in the past. I am very pleased with this purchase and the price is amazing for the product. I would definitely recommend!

Can't beat the price. The quality is great for what this product costs. I got the XL and it is huge on me. I am 5'3" and was 130lbs pre pregnancy. I am happy with it being too big since I am growing so fast. Love that it has a hood.

I bought this in black as well as the maternity fleece in black from Wal-Mart. I immediately fell in love with the soft, cozy fleece, so I'm still deciding if it's worth keeping this one as well. I thought I might need it as the weather gets colder, but the fleece is so thick and warm, I'm not really sure that this will be much warmer (I haven't worn it out since I'm still deciding whether to return it). Still, it's a very nice jacket. It fits really well (I'm normally a size 8 and the medium is nice and roomy to wear a sweater under and for when my belly gets bigger -- I'm 6 mos. now). It has a soft fleecy lining around the upper back and chest area, as well as in the hood and pockets. And it has a stretch drawstring that you can tighten to hug your hips to keep cold air from coming in from underneath. I actually think this will be wearable after pregnancy too... especially because of the drawstring, but that remains to be seen.

I received my coat yesterday and was pleasantly surprised. It was good quality for the $20 I spent. When you are only going to wear the coat for a few months at best it was outrageous to spend more than $20 on a coat. This one seems to fit pretty well so far but I am only in the early part of the second trimester. I purchased the XL even though i am only 5'4" but have broad shoulders. It gives more room than the L would have so I am happy. It is really nice that it has a hood as well for those days that it rain/snows and for wind block in Chicago. I would recommend this coat for those wanting to be economical with their maternity wear. Just be careful to estimate the size correctly based on the reviews.

Amazing value for a maternity winter coat!

I am so pleased that Walmart offers this item at such a reasonable price. I actually feel like they are almost doing it as a public service to pregnant women! Other retailers and brands are so incredibly overpriced for maternity items. It's hard enough to find a maternity winter coat as it is, let alone one for a fair price. I searched and searched for a coat that would get me through the upcoming central PA winter until my due date in late January. No one else even came close to this value. I'm very happy with the quality and fit. Warmly insulated, with a great hood, but not too much bulk. Preggo ladies have enough of that as it is :) It's pretty true to the fit of other Faded Glory items. I'm usually a pre-pregnancy small in FG, sometimes a medium, and this coat fits me nicely in a small with enough room for a sweater. I also love that it comes in the red, which is a really pretty true red. I think the photo appears darker than it actually is. Of course the black is a good option too and would be a nice understated choice for someone wearing it over professional clothes to work. Thanks, Walmart, for offering this for all the mommies-to-be this winter!!!

Would you say that the same size as your shirt size should be ordered or would you recommend going a size bigger? I am 25 weeks Pregnant

  • A. I'd say that's a good guesstimate. I wear a Lg-XL shirt and got a Lg coat and it fits perfect.

  • A. I am 5.3", 136lb per-pregnancy. Now my chest is 38B-D. My shirt used to be size 4-6//M Petite. I ordered large. Right now I could have probably have a better fit with Medium—lots of room everywhere :) However considering that I am only on my 23rd week, I am glad to know I will have room to grow on the belly area or will be able to put on a thick sweater, if needed. Just a side note, for my height and arm length, sleeves were a bit too long. I had to tuck them in a few inches.

  • A. Depends on how big you are now -- I actually ordered a L and XL and plan on returning the XL to a walmart store -- you have 90 days so you can always order two sizes and see what fits you better in a month or so. In maternity shirts I am a large and that's the size I wound up getting -- there is extra room for growth in the belly area and chest and room to wear a sweater and a scarf.

  • A. I normally wear a pre-pregnancy small, sometimes medium, in the Faded Glory line (Gap size medium, for comparison) and the small fits me well in this item. I think Faded Glory runs the same as or a little bigger than most women's brands. I don't think you should need to order up--but with 97 cent shipping you could order both sizes, return one to the store and only be out $1.

  • A. The size chart indicated that it runs small, so I went up a size. I normally wear a small shirt but ordered a medium. It's a little bit big, but much better than too small.

  • A. Unless you have multiples, I'd say the original size will do. I'm in my 14th week with my 2nd one, and it still has plenty space. I don't recall my tummy got bigger than that.

  • A. I've never bought a maternity shirt at WalMart, but I found this jacket to run large. I'm tall and kind of thin, and I found the sleeves, length and overall girth of this coat to exceed the dimensions of other maternity brands. I would generally get a medium in other maternity stores, and for this coat I felt the small was plenty large. Hope this helps!

I'm 5'5 about 140 pre-pregnancy. Normally I'm a medium, but my bust has gotten quite large (size DDD to G cup) and I'm concerned about zipping. Should I go with a medium, or size up to a large?

  • A. I'm 5'2" and was also 140 pre-pregnancy. I'm a DD cup and have gone up to DDD probably by my 6th month now. I really think you'll be fine with a medium. I think the chest and belly area is really roomy in this for a medium. Plus, I really like that shipping is only $1 and you can return it to the store if you were to order both sizes.
