    About this item

The Everlast Freestanding Advanced Reflex Bag is an excellent way to practice your boxing skills. It uses a special spring-mounted design that helps in developing the speed, timing and accuracy you need for success in the ring. With the spring based design, the bag will also pop back at you after you hit it, allowing you to practice dodging and slipping punches. Because it's constantly moving, the reflex punching bag helps to develop your hand-eye coordination as well. Using an adjustable height system, you can set the bag anywhere between 5 and 7 easily, and this helps you prepare to fight both bigger and smaller opponents. This boxing reflex bag is made from synthetic leather, so it'll remain strong and durable even after many years of hard use, and its insides contain energy absorbing material that won't break down from the impact of your punches.

For additional stability, the stand can be filled with either 60 lbs of water or sand easily, so it won't fall over even if you connect with a big hit.
    Everlast Freestanding Reflex Bag:

    • Synthetic leather construction
    • Adjustable height reflex punching bag
    • Easy-to-fill base holds 60 lbs of water

    This Bag Is All Right!

    Customer review by Camyj

    4.0 stars by Camyj

I ordered the bag through Walmart's Site-to-Store. It took less time to bring the bag from the warehouse than the associates told me but it still took a while. The bag assembly was in a box, not very heavy. Putting the bag together was not difficult. I filled the base with water. I wish I had a hose to do it. I couldn't imagine how long it would take to fill it with sand. I've had the bag for two weeks. I use it in the living room of my apartment. So far it has been decent. It does not take up a lot of space which is a plus for me. Even with water it is not that heavy and can be moved around fairly easy also a plus. Sometimes when I punch the bag, the pole extending from the base will loosen up (this may be because I haven't tightened it enough). I have found a way to work around it. If I move around and punch the bag from all sides it doesn't loosen. Moving around also allows for a better workout. I have punched the bag pretty hard and the base itself has not moved (I have it on a berber-type rug)nor have I felt like the pole extension would be damaged. Overall, I like the bag and feel it was a good purchase.

This Reflex bag meets all my expectations... I punch and kick the heck out of it, and all it does is come back and hit me!!! Hahaha... That's what it is for, and so I had to learn to duck and dodge it. It is really pretty heavy duty and I just keep beating on it and it wears me out. Highly recommend. My gym won't be complete until I have 4 of these total so I can beat on all of them at the same time. :-) Go for it. You won't be dissapointed.

First order came in with a cracked base which caused the water to leak out. Replacement order works fine. My 12 year old uses it every day and loves it!

    • A. It doesn't come with gloves but you shouldn't need them unless you plan on training for actual MMA or Boxing. The bags that do come with gloves are usually cheap beyond usefulness anyway.

    • A. It does not have gloves included, you will have to buy them seperately. We bought a pair from Walmart.

I was wondering for everlast freestanding reflex bag base, it features an easy to fill base which holds 60Ibs of water, now upon buying this do I need to fill it with water to weigh it down? or can I just leave it empty, or can I use other objects (ie sand bags)?

    • A. You have to put either water or sand in it or it will not stand up you hit it and it will fall down and not come back up. Get it in the area where you plan to leave it before you fill. We did not fill it all the way. But we do not have a grown man hitting it. If you do you will most likely need to fill it up since my son can make it come off the ground it he hits it hard enough. He is 13.

    • A. You can fill it with water or sand. You can't leave it empty, you'll knock it across the room. You could probably use sand bags if you really didn't want to fill it up. I used water and it sits great for me.

    • A. If you leave it empty, it'll either fall over or you will be chasing it around the house as you box. No worries, it's an easy fill. I've had mine filled with water and move it twice a week (a little bleach as well)...it has yet to leak a single drop of water.

    • A. I purchased this bag for my 14yr old daughter. She said the bag is hard you need to buy gloves. It will hurt your hand if you don't. The bag doesn't have air in it like the other one we had. So I think this one would hold up better. Also it is a bit stiff at first but the spring is losing up well.

    • A. Not suitable for 6 year old. I am 5 foot even, and at its lowest level, it is just right for me. Shorter person would not be able to use. Also, this is not a soft bag. It is for serious punching, and requires glove. The spring is strong, and a six year old would not have the strength to move this bag with a punch.
