Rated 4 out of 5★ by Thanx Best Deal for the Buck! Had several of this brand and they are as good or better thanones that cost way more. In particular, the one with the samename as the Bruce Willis movie. It is a good idea to check thewater every so often as they are not sealed like some of themore expensive but that is more than compensated for by theprice difference. Also, about once a year it is prudent to putit on a charger over night to keep the lead precipitates fromforming. Otherwise, it is all good. I have had one in my 94Ram for over 5 years and even though I only run it a coupleof times a month the battery always does the job.Works for me. :) 08/21/2013
Rated 5 out of 5★ by RazzMcTazz Cheapest 36-mo-warranty "H5" or "47" size battery. Costco doesn't carry the Group Size H5 or Group Size 47 battery so I just bought this battery from Walmart since it was fifty bucks cheaper than any other similarly warrantied, 36-month, battery that I found everywhere else. Despite my 5-star "battery life" rating I can't really speak to the longevity and Consumer Reports didn't test this particular size, but in other sizes, the EverStart batteries generally came out to be among the better performing batteries, including longevity, and almost always were selected as a "best pick" for overall price performance. It is worth noting that Group Size 47 batteries have the same dimensions, cleats, polarity, terminal type, and cold cranking amps-- 650A-- as this Group Size H5 battery. I don't think that there's any difference at all so I'm not sure why they have different Group Size designations. I was looking for a Group Size 47 battery for my 2007 Chevy Equinox but Walmart's battery catalog suggested this Group Size H5. It fits and works perfectly. 04/17/2014
Rated 5 out of 5 VW New Beetle replacement Battery Bug died, battery reading 7.8v so I figured it had a cell or two gone. I placed it on one of those smart chargers and it charged to 77% then flashed "Bad Bat". Called around to various automotive specific places and they all wanted around 160 plus tax. I found it curious that all of these batteries carry a three year replacement warranty, then two year pro-rated after that. I did not rate Battery Life because I just installed so I have no reference. The battery I replaced was a Bosch with 3 years and 5 months of running time so I'd guess they give a three year replacement for a reason. 02/17/2014
Rated 1 out of 5★ by tdavid87 Completely dead within a year. Don't waste your money, spend the extra $30 for a better brand battery. I bought this batter for my VW Bug in July 2013. By December 2013 my car had already been jumped once and had to be brought back into Walmart to have the battery recharged as it would not hold a charge for more than 15 minutes. After having it "fully charged" free of charge, the car once again died within a weeks time. I had it jumped again and it seemed to be running fine. About a month later, the car was once again dead. The batter was SO DEAD that it had to be towed to the closest automotive place (for a pricey $75 fee). I had to have a whole new battery put in. Thankfully, Walmart has said they will refund me the cost (I haven't been in yet), but it's ridiculous how poor the quality of this battery is. Don't waste your time or your money! 06/14/2014
Rated 1 out of 5★ by steve62 can do far better w/a real battery warranty to boot .See, this manufacturer actually is sellinga product that is at rock bottom when one wants a warranty of some sort for 72-84 months and NOT JUST and ONLY a 3 yr. free replacement .Sounds dynamite but how about this : spenta hunny [Diehards a hunny] and what do you have but a large paper weight when as mine did ,takes a dive 3 yrs. and 3 months and I was THEN left to find out theres ONLY a 36 month battery really cause I had to buy a new one again when had I went w/diehard last go round I'd be sittin' pretty w/a new die and only a small cost commensurate w/the prorata share whereby 36 mos. from 72-84 mos., well you see where this is going .w/this you have zero after 36 mos.[seems to me ALL car batts go out AFTER warranty is just gone,go figure right] but I'd have had my remainder of its useful standard so long as I got another diehard. just an fyi, 36 mos. /hunny or new die /forfar less 01/22/2013
