Started with one, now have four in parallel. All still working at 100%. Keep charged with 2 100 watt solar panels running computer, lights and tv.

We purchased this battery as the main 12VDC unit for our 33z Forest River Cherokee camper. Use is mostly for dry camping in Walmart parking lots while travelling. Works great so far producing plenty of power all night for LED lighting, occasional water pump use and 14VDC TV wired directly to it (battery shows 13.4-13.8). The next step will be to add a second battery and a built in inverter system so that we can charge cellphones by the bed, run a fan in the bedroom and possibly the microwave while in the WM lot as well.

I asked the clerk for AH information and of course he said they didn't have that sort of info. I did some research and found out the 24DC = 75AH, 27DC = 115AH, and the 29DC = 125 AH - for the extra 5.00 it's worth the 29DC over the 24DC. I'm a little upset because I had inadvertently bought a 24MS which is just a marine start battery but I"m quite sure I paid up to 90.00 not knowing any better (it's a 60.00 battery). Anyway, the 29DC is the way to go (I'm using these for solar application)

Bought this battery as a replacement for my Home battery on twin engine cruiser one month ago. I asked the automotive salesman if they were fully charged. ---I failed to check the water level since it was new and he said yes --- my mistake I think. Well my boat charger kept tripping the starboard breaker -- so moved the battery to the Port engine well then the Port breaker kept tripping -- this started a week and half ago. I then checked the water level --none -- I mean zero --- I am bringing the battery back for replacement as I do not it charged up -- i want a new one with electrolytes in it --- we will see what happens -- what is surprising is that I had no problems until two week of use which is probably because I pulled most of the amps out of it and my charger could put them back in hence the tripping of the breakers ---

I bought 3 of these in Sept 2012. March 2013 two are dead so I returned them, however, they only had 1 so I upgrade to the MAXX-29D since they have two of those. Got them holme and installed and 1 wouldn't take a charge. back to store to replace and no more MAXX-29 so I grab the single 29D and havethem check it ...it was bad. Go to another walmart store and get MAXX-29D. bring it home and drop it in the boat and it won't take a charge. I can't be the 1st person to notice a trned with these batteries from with a "4/12" sticker on them.

Minimum Cranking Power is 800 for my boat

    • A. If you need a starting battery for your boat, you need a different type of marine battery. These batteries are intended for use with trolling motors and other accessories, solar power systems etc. The marine batteries used for cranking over your engine are just like your car batteries. They are not meant to be subjected to repeated deep discharge and recharge cycles. This battery is intended for applications that involve repeated deep discharge/recharge cycles. For engine starting you would want a marine battery, that does not list DC after the group size (ie: Group Size 29DC), such as the EverStart Maxx Group Size 29 Marine Battery. Hope this helps you.

    • A. My apologies - all my answers posted for this product are actually for the Everstart Maxx version, which is heavier and more powerful. I'll remove the answers if I can.

    • A. CCA is 675. Unless you're boating in 0 degree F weather you're probably more interested in the MCA - Marine Cranking Amps - which is 845 measured at 32 degrees F.
