I had the battery before this one that was yellow and it lasted like 6 years and it finally died so I bought this one and it has great cranking amps. They hold power for a long time.

I used them 5 days after I bought them, and ran furnace, lights, and usual sensors always on. No problems. Used one cold night, and it met expectations.

Minimum Cranking Power is 800 for my boat
    by an anonymous customer 7/16/2012
    • Cold Cranking power for that battery is 675.

    • If you need a starting battery for your boat, you need a different type of marine battery. These batteries are intended for use with trolling motors and other accessories, solar power systems etc. The marine batteries used for cranking over your engine are just like your car batteries. They are not meant to be subjected to repeated deep discharge and recharge cycles. This battery is intended for applications that involve repeated deep discharge/recharge cycles. For engine starting you would want a marine battery, that does not list DC after the group size (ie: Group Size 29DC), such as the EverStart Maxx Group Size 29 Marine Battery. Hope this helps you.

    • My apologies - all my answers posted for this product are actually for the Everstart Maxx version, which is heavier and more powerful. I'll remove the answers if I can.

    • CCA is 675. Unless you're boating in 0 degree F weather you're probably more interested in the MCA - Marine Cranking Amps - which is 845 measured at 32 degrees F.
