Eureka Eco-Friendly Envirovac Bagless Upright Vacuum, Aqua, 3041AQU 2.3 5 34 35
Do not buy this If you're going to go to the trouble of buying a new vacuum, get a good one and hang the cost. This is not a good vacuum. The phrase “you get what you pay for” applies perfectly to this vacuum. Do not waste any money on this vacuum. I have to wear ear plugs any time I use it because it is so loud. The suction is merely so-so. It always leaves stuff behind. It's not so noticeable on our neutral beige carpet, but on our dark area rugs it is. Whenever I use the wand attachment I have to stuff a paper towel in the tube holder because it just blows junk out of it. The only way I would ever purchase this vacuum again is if it would absolutely prevent world annihilation. Do Not Buy This Vacuum!! For the sake of your sanity, buy a nice vacuum unless, of course, you don't care about the cleanliness of your carpets. 12/22/2009
An all-around solid vacuum First off let me mention to the Wal-Mart World that this is probably close to the 50th vacuum I have ever owned. I like to collect and repair vacuums. Throughout my lifetime I have seen a lot of fluff when it comes to vacuums; some do a very good job and others are just a joke when it comes to true deep cleaning (*cough* Dyson). In the short amount of time that I have owned this vac (approx. 3 months) it has both surprised me and let me down in various ways. It does a darn fine job on carpets; both surface cleaning (dog hair, paper and the like), and deep cleaning (sand, flour and other fine powders). It is fairly lightweight and easy enough to push and pull in both forward and reverse, it's easy enough to carry up and down stairs, the hose is looped around a hook on the bottom of the vac which helps to stop it from tipping over, it is also fairly quiet. However on the negative side of things; this vacuum has a narrower cleaning path (13 inches, of course this may be a good thing for some), a rather short 20 or so foot cord, it tends to spit some sand around on hard/bare floors, and the filter upkeep is high.All-in-all it is a great vac considering the price, but I think a better alternative is the Bissell Powerforce (bagged or bagless, your choice). Like all vacuums maintenance is required in order to keep it running efficiently. If you do decide to buy this vacuum or any other bagless vac please keep the filters clean, I have saved a lot of vacuums from the dump because the owner decided to never clean the filters (and they wonder why it doesn't have any suction, and why it doesn't clean). I still prefer a bagged vacuum because you don't have to mess with dirty filters, and they generally last longer and clean better than a bagless vac. Also I have noticed some people report that the brush roll will jam up on the vac, however I have yet to see this happen on my own unit. I suppose if it does I will report it to Eureka, Electrolux (the owner and maker of eureka vacuums), and the Better Business Bureau.Good luck vac hunting and take care!!! 04/02/2010
broke in 3 months I purched this vacuum 3 months ago, and it's already broken. It clogs all the time and is not easy to unclog. I have no pets just myself and a 3 year old. last time I was using it it started makin a weird noise so I stopped and took it apart and found that the beater bar had melted and broke off the plastic end. The motor is very weak to start with and only got worse. I really feel like I just threw away $80 07/06/2009
horrible I BOUGHT THE VACUUM 6 MONTHS AGO BECAUSE I LOVED THE COLOR. NOT WORTH THE MONEY AT ALL IT HAS NEVER WORKED VERY WELL THE CANISTER IS A PAIN TO EMPTY YOU HAVE TO REMOVE ALL FILTERS EVERY TIME. I AM ALREADY HAVING TO GET A NEW VACUUM. BELT BROKE AND SNAPPED SOMETHING INSIDE. WONT WORK ANYMORE. 10/07/2009
