I don't think I understand the Question. The lead's on a separate plug in cord set. You have separate Positive & Negative Clamp and one for the Dwell hook up at the Tach. Very easy. The Plug wire hook up has an Arrow that must point towards the Spark plug.

I don't really understand your question specifically, but the specifications data says this timing light will read 249 to 9990 rpm with a +/- 1 percent accuracy.

Yes, Very Accurate comparing to Tach in Car !! It will not read under 250 RPM.

That is exactly what it&#39;s talking about with Dwell setting. With a points distributor, the timing is important and the Dwell is very important to be set correctly. If not, it will burn the points by overheating them. So your answer is yes.

This Equus # 5568 Timing Light - What is it talking about  ( Dwell ) Does this give the dwell on the points as in older cars like in the 60&#39;s ?

This is a great light for anyone on any skill level. Great price and excellent product. I own several Equus products and I love them all.

Great Timing Light!!!

This timing light retails for over $200.00. Got it at Walmart.com for under $100.00 . This a great timing light, easy to use, has all the bells and whistles (and has six foot leads) that a back yard mechanic could use. Got it to work on a 2 stroke boat motor and older Jeep. PERFECT. Would make a Fantastic birthday gift, Christmas gift, or fathers day gift. If you are in the market for a great timing light don't pass this up. Has voltage reading, tachometer, dwell , 2 stroke or 4 stroke settings.

EXCELLENT VALUE

After deciding the timing light I needed and wanted, I search quickly found this one ranging upward of $214. I saw Wal-Mart carried the same model and thought it has to be re-manufactured or without the hard case but the price was too good not to give it a trying after all if it didn't perform properly is returnable. Well I got the case and it not re-manufactured so now I can get the job done and the savings is in my pocket.

After deciding the timing light I wanted

Timing light worked great. It is so nice to have the rpm built in and that it reads higher than my old meter. This one is actually useful.
Easy to hook use. Easy to use.
I have only used it on a Duraspark II ignition and not an MSD ignition yet.

Great Timing Light

Worked as advertised. I'm happy with the product. Be sure to read the instructions that comes with unit. I read the reviews on this product before purchase and found there were a few that mentioned the unit stopped working after one use. I can see how the operator could possibly damage it by not following the instructions. I'm just saying.

I purchased the Pro light mainly to use on outboard motors specifically a 1989 150 Johnson.  Once its set for 2 cycle motors you don't have to reset it each time. 
I don't think anyone would be disappointed with this device.
The tach is really a plus!

Equus 5568 Pro-Timing light

I have used this timing light and it Functioned as advertised. I loved the Tachometer function and also the Battery and Alternator volt output. It makes the timing adjustment easy and also the other info is invaluable. Easy to hook up and use, the case provides protection for the tool. So far I love it !!!! The Backlite screen is Killer !!!!

Great Timing Light For the Money!!

The price was the best I could find and who could complain with 98¢ shipping. This a good quality timing light I needed it to replace my old light that I bought back in the 80's, this one not only cost a whole lot less than back then, but it works very well.

Exactly what I wanted

appears to be a good tool; but i have not had good luck with their customer/technical support; i've used it once, but i can't seem to fix my problem, the instructions are unclear to me; i'm thinking to return while i still can and apply the money towards a  mechanic who can fix ! good value though; comes in a protective box along with a remote starter switch; were i still doing more mechanics work it'd be a keeper;  don't buy at oreilly's tool only, they will not accept returns.

poor customer/technical support

The first issue was the strobe and tach did not work. I called the tech asst. no. and went over the simple hook up to no avail. The instrument was defective and was told the best way to return/replace would be to send it back to JEGS. I did this and was promptly refunded my money. Excellent service from JEGS! 
The second reason I did not have it replaced was I found it heavy and bulky when trying to use it.
