She incontinenent with her urination so it's a constant battle trying to keep her clean, dry and diaper rash free since she's on her bottom all the time (except in bed we turn her side to side every two hours#. I was a private personal caregiver to the elderly for 30+ years and have tried many different things on the people I took care of. And of all the product I have tried, Equate 40% is the BEST coverage. It's so good at protecting raw painful skin rashes. Though messy#we use disposible gloves when applying..Wal-Mart sells a case for only $4.50 a box when buying a case# and hard to clean off, but it's well worth it because it works! We use a peri-wash cream and that helps take it off. We also wash with Neo-Sporin wound cleaner that Wal-Mart sells around $4.50..No other cream gave the protection that Equate 40% does, and the price is unbeatable. Sure you can buy 1oz of another at a 99cent outlet, that's a little watery, but this is 4oz which would cost $4 for the other to equal the size, and this cost approx $2.48..You do the math #- :And have I mentioned "It's the BEST"! 08/21/2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by hopefulhelper Excellent cream, works great I have never found a better product for treating diaper rash. I've used this for all 3 of my children. This is not for everyday use, only when there is already a bad rash. It coats the skin so it can heal without getting further irritation from things normally found in diapers :# or from baby wipes #because you still have to wipe there while the rash is healing). This cream puts a layer of protection down. It is super thick, but I suspect that's why it works so well. I have tried other creams with less zinc oxide, but this works the fastest. My babies, almost immediately, seemed to feel better--the fussing stopped and they went back to playing. 08/08/2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by momofababy Not for us I bought a tube of this for my 3 year old for the occasional rash he still gets (still in diapers at night). He is old enough to tell me that this burns worse than Desitin and would cry and cry every time we put it on him. Once we switched back to name brand the fight and crying stopped and he didn't mind putting cream on again. Also, in the 2 months we used it I would always knead the tube to keep it mixed up and soft, and it still got hard and the ingredients seemed to separate - a watery goo and then the white paste got really hard - so even if we had wanted to use it we couldn't have. 12/08/2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by dwalker125 too thin this product seemed to do the job for the price. but it was very thin and too creamy to stay on my daughter after sh tinkled just a little, more like a lotion texture than a paste, were as desiten stays on to keep that nice layer of protection. 05/18/2013
