If you're in the market for a new printer - AVOID EPSON!! I have been thinking this for some time now, but today, I proved it. I have an Epson NX200 Printer/Scanner/Copier that uses individual ink cartridges for the black, cyan, magenta, and yellow cartridges. Supposedly this will save you money, since you can replace only the ink that you're low on. For about a year now, I've noticed that when I replace ONE of the colors, all of them seem to be a bit lower than they were before the single cartridge's replacement. I was low on the yellow this afternoon, and I had a yellow cartridge from a 'color 3-pack' I had purchased about a month ago. I took a pic of the screen BEFORE changing the cartridge, to compare with a picture of the screen AFTER changing the cartridge. I thought that maybe 1 or 2 of them might be a little bit lower. They are ALL VERY MUCH LOWER in capacity immediately after changing the cartridge, but BEFORE PRINTING!! This is simply unacceptable, and I will be researching new printers before I buy another set of ink cartridges for this Epson printer. I will also be blowing up message boards, etc. and Epson's site (if possible) to bring this to the attention of other consumers. Again - this is simply unacceptable. I hope I have helped save some of you money. I have uploaded a pic to this site, IF Walmart allows it to stay up.

Set up was a BREEZE. I have it set up on a Windows 7 PC and a Macbook. Easy. Setting up Epson connect was a breeze. And I LOVE IT! I sent a file from my phone to the printer email address and it printed. Scanning is awesome. I love the feature that allows you to scan to USB. If you don't set up the scan to cloud (I highly recommend this), you can scan to a flash drive, then take it to any computer. You can choose to scan as jpg, tiff, or pdf. I don't use the fax portion of the printer, so I cannot testify to it. The printing is very adequate. I never print photographs, mainly text. I have no complaints about this printer/scanner/fax. The price is great, the performance is very pleasing. As long as it holds up this quality over time, I will continue to be pleased.

We have 5 computers in the house, along with four cell phones. The wireless functions of this printer are very easy to setup, and run well with everything we have. We print using a Mac, PC's with Windows 7 and another with Windows 8. My wife, who is not the most technical savoy person around, was able to navigate the menu in order to find the draft quality when making a copy on the printer itself in order to save ink. That's saying a lot, if you know her:-) I love the small footprint of this printer as well. My desk was crowded with my old Canon printer, but this Epson is great, giving me lots more room.

I bought this printer after reading all the reviews, and thought it would work good. WRONG!!! I have had nothing but problems since day one. Setup was easy, but after that it all went very badly. First it kept telling me that I had a paper jam, when there was no paper jam. I checked online for some solutions, nothing by epson could be found, so i resorted to user solution forums. They said that if ink was low it would say there was a paper jam. so i bought new ink, still did not fix the problem. I discovered that there was a loose piece inside the feed tray that was causing the problem. After the constant paper jam error was fixed, it printed a few sheets ok, then it started printing with a bunch of lines through it. I tried all of the maintenance fixes, and could not understand what the printouts meant, so again i resorted to online solutions. This printer is still not working properly, it has been nothing but a headache since I got it. I am packing it up and taking it back. Do not buy this printer!!!

    • A. I believe it's the smaller capacity black & color cartridges instead of the XL size, which is typical of new printers. Yes, I would think it can be used on your Win7 laptop. It's wireless or usb.

    • A. It depends on who you are paying for your fax. I do not have a phone line, and I called att uverse since that's where I get my internet and it is $15 per month for a fax line and that is with a land line. If you do not have a landline, it cost more. I called Comcast and it was around $20 per month maybe a couple dollars more. I do not fax THAT much so I did with out the fax option. It just depends on how often you fax if it is worth paying for a fax line. But who ever you decide to go with, they will tell you where to hook it up, there are different options, in the modem, directly through the phone jack, just ask your provider that has the fax line.
