Lightweight Haven't needed it in an emergency yet, but it works well inside the house. The radio is easy to tune, the sound is clear, and you can hear it as soon as you start to crank.It's very lightweight and the size of the old transistor radios. The flashlight is bright. amazing device we lost power for 5 days recently, and all i had was a battery powered radio which ran out. I heard on the radio callers talking about "Crank radios" SO I looked into it. For the price this is amazing! Crank the handle and have many minutes of either light....radio or beeping an emergency sound.the radio is cheaply made but it works fine for the price. the light is heavier duty. 11/28/2011
This device is perfect for long power outages. I can keep my radio and/or light on contstantly without worrying about the batteries running out. I am also happy that I do not have to keep buying batteries.Winding it up also entertains my children. 09/30/2011
