A push-button switch turns on a powerful Nichia LED light that can illumine a moderately-sized area. Threaded plastic top breaks after moderate usage. Pen light used 3-5 times per day, work related. After a few months plastic cap breaks at the thread area. Love the light and would be happy to pay more for a more durable light. Have had two break within 6 months. 05/01/2012
