Just got the charger a week or so ago. It seems to charge just fine, even with various sleeves on the wiimotes. However, be aware, that due to the induction circuitry's space requirements, the battery packs use AAA cells, not the AA cells that come stock with the wiimotes. (BTW, You can open the packs with one screw, and can easily replace the cells with other rechargeables when they wear out.) Generally, a standard AAA cell has 1/2 the MAH (Milli amp hours) of a AA cell (around 1200 MAH to 2400 MAH). This means that in theory, the wiimote using the energizer packs should only last around 1/2 as long between charges as a wiimote using AA cells. I haven't tested this as of yet. They do seem to last enough for our normal playing sessions, and we always store them on the charger. My initial impression still, however, is that this is a very nice product, that is a very convenient way to keep your wiimotes charged.

THis is an awesome product. It charges your wii remotes fully and totally to 100% and the charge lasts super long. I would recommend this to anyone interested in a quality charger. It does come with 4 battery packs. I am so glad i got this.

After reading the positive reviews for the 2X induction charger, I decided to get one but wanted the 4X version instead. We have 2 Wii remotes now, but plan to add more soon. This model comes with 4 rechargeable battery packs for use with up to 4 remotes. It really does work as advertised, and it's very convenient to use. No need to remove any of the accessories like the remote jacket or nunchuck. Just lay it on the plate and it charges. Our kids (ages 5 & 9) love how easy it is! Each position on the charging plate has an LED light to indicate the charging status. Red means the remote is charging; green means it's fully charged. The manual says that it takes 4 hours for a complete charge, but the first time I used it, a full charge took less than 3 hours. Without this product, we would be going through lots and lots of AA batteries. I'm not sure how many we would use (and therefore what the payback time is on this product), but I still think this is a very good value for the roughly $50 price -- although $40 would have been even better!

Induction Charger convenient, but not for diehards

I do like this product, however I can't help but wonder if I bought it to early (it seems to have just come out for the wiimotes). The charger works great and the batteries fit perfectly, however the charge only lasts for about 4-5 hours of game play for us (and that is with the rumble option turned OFF - I'm guessing the rumble option would use more power). Anyone who wants to play all day would have to trade wiimotes during game play (and the wiimote switching can be a tiny bit of a pain). Overall, I like it but I do hope they soon start making batteries that last around 8 hours instead of just 4 hours. Also - check out your options there are a number of induction chargers on the market.

I recieved my order and it had the power pad, the plug in and NO RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES. it is suppossed to come with 4 rechargeable batteries and it even had the places for them in the packing, but none were included. Gets even better... I called customer service (not very easy to find the number) and explained the problem. They put me on hold for 4 minutes, then said that I could get a 10% discount on the purchase of the rechargeable batteries. They wanted me to buy something that I had already paid for , but never recieved. Aftter 1/2 hour of this they finally agreed to send me a new one and I have to send back the old one, they are paying shipping. So I will have 2 more things to rate. If the items works well and if they end up wrognly charging me for another one.

Been looking for a good charger that will charge all my controllers with the wii motions connected rather then having to take them out of the protector and this charger does that and charges all 4 of my controllers at once. Batteries are only 500mah's but still gives long life. The unexpected bonuses are that it does have the button to sync the remote to the wii built into the battery case, as well as the batteries are not sealed in the case and look to be replaceable if they die or you want to put in large capacity batteries. Don't know how the charger will handle the extra capcity so try at own risk but the fact that you should be able to replace the AA's is a great feature vs. some other units that are completely sealed and non-servicable.

Bought this charger cause i wanted something straight forward for the kids to use that would charge 4 controllers at once, and boy does this one do the job. It couldn't be easier just put the controller down on the pad, skin and all and it charges. Initial charge time is about 4 hrs, not sure after that because they controllers haven't ever run right down, and the controllers are on the go practically all the time. It may be $50 but i still highly recommend this product.

The batteries in our controllers were going dead in the middle of a game and making someone angry. This charger is great, I don't have to remember how long the controllers were on the charger to keep them from overcharging. We leave them on all the time they are not being used and it stops charging when the are done. Love this charging station.

This product is well worth the money! We have 4 Wii controllers and when we are done using them we just lay them on the charger. Done! No need to remove anything! The charger comes with 4 battery packs with covers attached. No batteries to buy!
