    • A. Yes, Eglide Appstore is preloaded. They have also stopped requiring credit card information to download free apps. You do need to enter a email and password to do any download just like Amazon and Google Play. Also, the Eglide Appstore has the most popular Google apps on it. Maps, Mail, Earth, etc.

    • A. The eGlide app store is one of the reasons I returned this tablet. YOu can get Angry Birds, and a few other popular games, but there is a very limited pool of apps to choose from, as you cannot download apps from the Android App Store (Google Play Store) at all.

Does it support google play? Is the capacitive touchscreen multitouch? thanks

    • A. The Google Play Store is not supported, which severely limits your app choices. The touchscreen is multitouch though (I honestly recommend something like the Samsung Galaxy Tab, which does have the Google Play Store along with a Samsung App Store [which I've never used]).

    • A. No Google Play Preinstall and unless you are a Computer Geek device will not allow installation. I attemtped several times each time I was directed to a sight by Google which informed me that unless Google Play is Preinstalled you will not be able to add. You will have to us Ematic App Store they force you to setup account with your credit card even if you want free app... I returned 3 days later. This is my first venture into Tablet world now I relaize that without Google Play it's a deal breaker for me.

This is my third tablet to try and I am loving it. Wanted something lightweight to carry with me. This is so slim & light hardly know it is in my purse. I think it weighs less than my wallet. Although no manual comes with it fairly easy to figure out. The only problem I have had with it so far is that it keeps dropping my WiFi connection. However unlike the Pandigital it reconnects again immediately. I would highly recommend this to anyone that is just wanting a basic tablet. The other plus as far as I am concerned is that it will let you uninstall the "junk" games that come with it. All in all I am very pleased.

I seen a few bad reviews about this tablet with people having problems with it. This is a great tablet and will do everything you'd want a tablet to do. After playing with this tablet for more than a week. Here are some answers for the problems I've read about here… 1. It comes with a one page “Quick Start” brochure for those familiar with android and tablets. For those of you needing a full manual. Once you’ve turned it on. Just go into the file manager and open the icon named “Manual” it’s all there, all 26 pages of it. 2. The default setting for the tablet is to drop the Internet after one minute. This is why some of you are being dropped so often. To change this go to Settings>Display>Sleep and set it for the time you want. Now don’t forget the Internet will run your batteries down faster. So, if you set it for long times don’t complain about the poor battery life. 3. For the Google Play issue. First thing you must do is go into settings>security>device administration and check “Unknown Sources”. This will allow you to install software from sources other than the Ematic App Store. (which requires a credit card number for any downloads) I then tried installing Google Play and it installed. But, I kept getting “Unfortunately, Google Play has stopped” message when I launched it. Seems to be quite a common issue even if it came factory installed on tablets. I couldn’t figure a work around for it (without rooting it) and finally realized I didn’t even need it. I went to Amazon they have a ton of android apps and a lot of free ones too. Just open the “Appstore for Android” department and pick the ones you want, plus they give away a paid app everyday. BTW, Get the Kindle Reader (it’s a free app) and a whole lot better than Kobo. After browsing both sites, I couldn’t see to much difference in what Amazon had to offer compared to Google Play (other than Google Maps, Google Earth, Google etc.) For those of you wanting Google specific apps, do a Google search for the Google APK you looking for. There are a lot of sites that offer various Google APK files for download besides Google itself. That’s how I’ve installed them on mine. 4. The screen is very sensitive. The tablet has a cellophane cover from the factory to protect it in shipping. This may reduce the sensitivity somewhat but I think if you get a real screen protector it will help a lot with this issue. 5.The camera is easy to use but very blurry. I didn’t buy this for a camera I bought this tablet for email, books and some games. So, this is of little importance to me. 6. Construction is very good and feels sturdy. It has a kind of rubbery case and doesn’t show fingerprints as so many of them do. 7. So far I’m getting 2.5 to 3 hours of use on the Internet full time with battery power. 6 to 8 hours with Internet turned off. All I can say is this tablet is a great buy for the money.

This little tablet is everything I expected and much more. Where to start... We first ordered this little tablet and the 10 inch version for my honey (I will review that version over on its own page. Short version...steer clear!). We ordered them on Monday 6/25 and they estimated that with standard shipping it would be there by 07/02. They already arrived on 06/28. That was the first positive aspect. So, don't waste extra money on express shipping. The packaging is solid, your typical cardboard box with quick guide, proprietary charger (12 v for the outlet, no USB charging), pair of cheap headphones and a usb cable to connect the pad to your computer. It already has a bit of a charge in it, so you should just hook it up for the rest of the night. Battery life when keeping it in standby is 7 hours. That gives you a lot of play time if you remember to shut it down properly between use. After about 6 hours in standby mode, I still got 2 hours of reading time out of it. The camera app and youtube are already on the main screen with a pretty analog watch, just in case you prefer that over the nice large digital version in the bottom right corner. Yes, the screen is 'only' 7 inch, but it is more than enough to read comfortably, especially when you download the Adobe pdf reader from the android market place. Unlike most lower-end readers, this little tablet lets you go play and download what you need from the android marketplace without protesting and complaining. Want google drive with docs etc? No problem Just download, there you go. It's free too. But before you go crazy downloading, check out the pre-loaded free mini games, calculator, calendar, daily paper (we're talking from tons of different countries, so whether you want the Sueddeutsche Zeitung from Germany, El Mundo from Spain, L'Equipe from France or even Japanese and Chinese newspapers, knock yourself out) And of course, all these wonderful apps would be very annoying if you had to wait around for them to load, but the 1 gigabyte of Random Access Memory makes it whipping fast. The on-board storage of 730 mb is nothing to sneeze at for a tablet in this price range, but for those of you who are storage hogs, just throw in a 16 or 32 gigabyte MicroSD card (20 and 30 bucks respectively at Walmart) and you are golden. Speaking of file storage, it's easy to upload, transfer, organize and remove files, thanks to the Astro file-system. You can keep your tablet nice and organized. This one comes with a regular size usb port, so if you have a friend with a usb flash stick who just wants to share a quick file or two, you don't need a computer to get it. Aside from the USB port, you also get an hdmi port and of course the headphone jack for the aforementioned cheap (or your own more expensive) headphones. The sound quality is decent and clear with headphones and the typical tinny 'speaker phone' sound without them. The picture quality is crystal clear, with or without headphones ;-) When you hit a video on Youtube it snaps to full screen immediately. Speaking of video, it has a webcam. The quality is like you'd expect these days from cellphones/tablets. Haven't installed a chat/instant messaging/skype type thing yet, so I can't really speak beyond the basics. Last but not least, the touchy-feely stuff. The touch screen is sensitive, so there is no need for pushing, shoving, or stabbing. A very soft touch will get you anywhere you need to go. And holding the touch down activates what would be 'right click' on a mouse and lets you move stuff and get into special options. The only thing I found to complain about regarding this tablet was that for some reason the power button and volume down button are close together, while the volume up button was by itself, ostracized from the other two, making it look like the power button which led to a bit of confusion for about a minute. But once I got over that, I fell irrevocably in love. Me and my tablet.....still a better love-story than twilight ;) If it's still available, buy it. Seriously. It's the best thing you can get in this price-range.

I will start off by saying that I am pretty tech. savvy but am new to Android, so there was a little learning curve that I had to overcome. I did find that the Amazon Appstore App is a necessity to get this thing really going. Also I recommend Opera for a web browser, since those are free and so is the Kindle app you don't need a whole lot else. My only real issue is that the WiFi disconnects every once in a while and I have to go back into the settings and turn it back on. Other than that I am happy with the purchase.

An Android 4 ICS (Ice Cream Sandwich) for the price is almost unbelievable. Took a chance buying this online based on web reviews. It is a steal! Construction is rock solid. It definitely is not some cheapo sand box creation from a third world country. Same size as a Kindle Fire (I have one of those too among other notebooks, netbooks and tablets). I have put it through its paces and it works great. The value per dollar cannot be beat.

The only problems I have are these: Google Play store does not support this product, and Kobo also does not work either. However, ematic store and Amazon Appstore are OK. The most significant features that I liked about it are: capacitive screen, and ability to add more memory by using microsd card. It is also reading flash drive. There are two things that need to be noted by buyers: it is not compatible with normal size HDMI plug, and it does not come with a case. These are things that are not clear in its product description.

I asked only 3 things of this tablet, to let me read ebooks, play music and do some light internet stuff. With a few tweaks, it works fine. The hardware is fine, quite nice, and I have learned Android from this unit. The installed software is a mixed bag. Kobo seems like more of an ebook seller than a reader, I loaded my own saftware and mostly do my reading on this tablet. The Music player is clunky as far as file management goes, for instance, 5 songs gleaned from as many discs comes up as if 5 complete discs. But it plays the songs fine. The built in browser browses, it is all I ask. Astro is a good file manager. There is a default setting restricting it only to their preapproved short list of apps. Dig about in Settings to turn it off. This is the part that stymied me at first.

Well, I thought I would dive into the world of tablets and the android o/s. Tempted by the Google Nexus, it delivered as expected for the price. My biggest problem with this device is the Wifi connectivity, which is very spotty, that is a huge design issue that needs resolved, I found it extremely annoying. A week later, the battery starting having charging issues and didnt hold a charge long even at 100%. I would save your $ for a Nexus or a Kindle Fire 2 when it debuts. Returned the item promptly to store.

I have wanted to try a Tablet PC for some time and would surf the web shopping for one I could afford to try. Well, Walmart came through again. I am new to Android technology and this was an excellent choice for me to learn on. I read the reviews and noted warnings about downloading programs for it. I had trouble at first, but the manufacture was great. Helped me to learn how to use the PC and to download the programs I like. It comes with more games than you would want IF you are a kid, but I prefer casino type games. I now have the games I want and a little tablet/reader to use in my bedroom before I go to sleep. Note: I also like to read a few Bible verses each night and this is perfect.

Overall I didn't have a problem with product because I didn't keep it long enough. Moderately easy to setup I was able to go to Walmart and buy a Belkin Tablet case for $18.00 fit perfect. The deal breaker was no access to Google Play. There's numerous apps I have downloaded on my cell phone from Audible.com too the CBS Sports radio aren't available on Ematic App store. I was mad during the initial setup because inorder for me to signup I had to us my credit card. No way to setup without credit card even though with Google Play you use your credit card only after selecting an item you intend to purchase. The wireless was a minor Point of concern on ocassion the wireless didn't kick back in after hibernation I had to go to setup then switch wireless off then back on. I graded it a 3 because without Google Play it's not really worth having in my opinion I am sure some geek could figure out how to install but since this is my first venture into the tablet world I really don't have the time or energy. Enclosing... any tablet without Google Play isn't worth having unless you are buying for a kid.
