The Ematic EB101P 7" EBook Reader stores up to 2,300 songs, 20 hours of video, or thousands of e-books with 4GB of built-in memory. Further, you can expand the memory using a microSD card and store an entire library of up to 40,000 e-books. This TFT color ebook reader is compatible with most of the popular e-book formats including TXT, EPUB, PDF, and DOC (It does not support DRM-protected content). Using the built-in MP3 player in the reader, you listen to your favorite music even as you read e-books. The electronic book reader has an 800 x 480 pixel 7-inch color display that is large enough to allow you to read your e-books without straining your eyes. Using the photo/video player, you can watch movies and pictures with great clarity. It supports JPG, BMP, AVI, MP4, FLV, and other formats. This ebook reader comes with a wall charger, USB cable, and headphones.

Rated 2 out of 5 by SassyOzzie Great concept, if it worked... I really had high hopes for this reader. I have an Ematic MP3 player and have had no trouble whatsoever with it, so I expected the same with the reader. Main problem I had was the screen would shut off every 10-20 seconds which can be very aggravating when trying to read a page; even after completing 4 full charges on it to be sure the battery wasn't the problem this persisted. The other problem was the necessity of Adobe Digital Editions which I had read in other reviews. I downloaded this onto my computer so that I could transfer books from Barnes & Noble to this reader, but it wasn't able to read anything unless it was the classics like Dracula or Pride & Prejudice. I read a lot of amateur fiction and was able to get that loaded onto the reader in text format without a problem and thought I could use it only for that, but the screen cutting off was more than I could bear. I have since taken the unit back for a refund from Wal Mart and am hoping their Ematic Tablet will work better. Great concept, but when I buy something, I expect it to work properly and that just wasn't the case here. 06/29/2011

Rated 1 out of 5 by BlondeReader I read some good reviews about this product so I purchased one only to find that it is not as simple to operate as I was lead to believe. Music was easy to download, but I am having trouble with everything else. I tried to get help from company, but they are not very helpful either...I am sick over my purchase. 12/16/2010
Rated 4 out of 5 by tlnke1108 Great buy! Overall I think this ereader is an excellent buy. It didn't come with everything including in the description though... It didn't have any software or a paper manual, however the manual and warranty are loaded onto the ereader. I had a very hard time downloading my books to it, but that was simply due to the fact of me making it harder than it was. All you had to do was download Adobe Digital Editions and drag and drop the books from there to your device. I am only using the device as an ereader, and it is perfect for that! It is lightweight, and has many options of the font color as well as the background color so you can find what works best for you. The product is well worth the money! I've already bought several books off Borders and am enjoying reading them on my ereader!! 09/02/2011
