Upon delivery, the packaging had me worried, the boxes were torn and re-taped. I just knew there would be damage but turned out everything was fine. The instructions are very limited but the average person can figure it out. One person can put it together (like I did) but two would make it easier. I will order more if I need them in the future.

Thought it was too good to be true for such a great product at such an inexpensive cost. It arrived on time - the box corners/edges a bit mangled due to the heavy weight. This concerned us and after opening, some corners on the board shelves had broken off. We considered returning it, but after assembly, the shelves still fit perfectly and we couldn't see the missing corners. All-around, this is a cosmetically and durably sound product. Very quick and easy assembly. The dimensions were spot-on and our two shelving units fit perfectly in the garage space. It’s tall, it’s deep, and it's beautiful (see photo). Definitely buying more! Way to go Walmart!!

    • There may have been recent packing improvements - my boxes were 25" wide, 52.5" tall and 3.5" deep (mine had ~2" 'crush boxes' above & below the shelves to help protect the corners of the particleboard shelf decks).

    • The box is just an inch or so longer and wider than the shelf dimensions. It was only about 3 inches thick. It is heavy--100+ pounds but it laid across the back floorboard (behind the drive and passenger seats) of my Accord to get it to school to set up.

    • Everything is laid flat in the box so it's approximately 48 x 24 - give or take 2 inches. About 3" wide.

    • No, but you need to put the shelf in the middle where the two sections join. Think at least four shelves would be good for stability.

    • The more shelves you use, the more stable the unit will be, you should not expect the unit to perform as advertised if you do not assemble it as it was designed to be assembled. You probably have to use at least three shelves, but I would use all five and keep the spacing pretty consistent.

    • Yes, they help to stabilize the unit as it is assembled.

    • You would not have to, but having all 5 adds to the stability

    • I would put all five shelves for support. Each shelve gives it more support. You can space them at different heights. The bottom, middle and top would have to be in the right place, but the other two you can space were you want them.

    • If you assemble the entire unit, then you should put in all the shelves. They seem to help stabilize the structure. It is much flimsier without them.

    • Yes, I use 14in high tubes. Larger tubes could be used if you remove the second shelf and put the taller tubes on the bottom shelf.

    • Yes, I store my tubs very well on the shelves but please read my answer to the question of shelf height in this section. I wrongly assumed I could get four rows of my 16" tubs on the 72" high frame. This is not correct. Due to the limitations of the shelf lip and the necessary shelf halfway up, I only fit 3 tubs vertically creating a couple of shorter shelves in the process. But I am still happy with the setup. They look great and I bought eight for my basement storeroom. Looks very orderly there now!

    • It does indeed hold plastic tubs quite well. If you want to maximize capacity be sure the the tub height is around 13 or 14" tall. More than that and you'll need to space the shelves at different heights limiting total tub capacity - assuming the all the tubs are the same height and dimension.

    • Useable space on shelves is 15" high, 46" wide and 24" deep. I am currently using 66qt sterlite plastic bins (both the blue handles and the purple handles, which are slightly different in size) I can fit 3 bins per shelf if I alternate the two sizes (so...2 blue and 1 purple -OR- 2 purple and one blue per shelf)
