Assembly directions were easy to understand, and the cart was simple to put together. It's even larger and more wonderful than I expected. I've already used it several times, and it's saved my back while bringing things in from the car... We live in an apartment, and the average grocery shopping would ordinarilly mean five or six trips back and fourth to the car. Now, it's "one and done"! What a treat! I would recommend having a pair of pliers handy so you can bend the cotter pins al the way around the axels. If you're like me, you don't like to have things sticking out.

This cart was much larger than expected and also much sturdier. The smaller basket (in the back beneath the handle) is capable of carrying a full jug of laundry soap without bending or otherwise distorting the frame. The recipient of this cart said she can now move a week's worth of groceries or a week's worth of laundry with ease. While this cart cost more than some other models, it appears that it will stand up to regular use while loaded with groceries or laundry.

I received the cart in a single box which worried me because I also ordered the Deluxe Liner BK. Upon opening the box I was pleasantly surprised they had packed the nicely folded bag inside. The instructions for assembly were quite adequate. They specify that you need a plier and a hammer. Neither were needed. The small cotter pins are easily bendable with your fingers and the two axle caps also easily press on with your fingers. My first usage after assembly was to a Costco run. In order to put it in the car folded, a couple of the velcro straps have to be released that hold the cart liner in place. It was not clear to me how the designers had intended you to use the straps since they don't face anything directly you can attach at the bottom. But after twisting them and pulling to the side, I was able to get them secured but not well. The liner fits inside the main cart section and the lid overlaps and stays closed with a velcro strip. The cart has a weight limit of 125 lbs. My first load filled the cart and the rear basket with all heavy stuff - pop, canned goods, meat, vegetables, and coffee to the top. Estimated weight was 130 lbs. The rear axle (the one with the larger wheels) really was bowed with the load especially when tipped for dragging up a curb. The wheels are hard plastic and in just a few hundred feet show signs of wear and bits of sand are stuck in the tread. The handle has a slip on plastic cover that slides when you want to make a turn as it is not securely attached. That is a design flaw. I would not recommend loading this cart to the weight limit unless you have a perfectly smooth paved surface with no curbs or steps. The main wheels tilt 20° or so under load because the axle flexes. And without a liner small items would fall between the wires. Anything smaller than say a roll of toilet paper would fall between the wires. This cart is very light duty, nothing like a store grocery cart so you have to use it with care. My first trip from the car through 4 doors and an elevator made this cart do the job in one trip with free hands for opening locked doors.

This is a wonderful product and I just love the extra basket in the back. The instructions were well written and assembly was VERY easy. My old cart with the 'spoke' wheels, fell apart and I desperately needed a new one because I have a quite a long hike from the parking area to my apartment. I was glad to see they had changed the style of the wheels - they're much sturdier now - and when it arrived I was more than pleased. You can't go wrong with this cart. It's worth the money.

Can you use all four wheels for pushing the cart or do you lift two off the ground to roll? I want to use all four wheels like a regular grocery cart in the supermarket for lugging my oxygen equipment while taking a walk on the street side walk. I have to carry two tanks and misc items. If you know of a better cart, please let me know. Thank you

    • A. Yes, they just do not turn to the sides, but rolls easily forwards and backwards.

    • A. This cart operates very similar to a supermarket shopping cart. It does well on the 4 wheels. Going over a curb or a threshold, you may want to "pop a wheelie" but it will do well.

    • A. I have pushed and pulled my cart with all four wheels on ground. They do not swivel so this makes it steadier to me. I do rock back on rear (larger) wheels a little bit for turning sharp corners. It is very easy to handle. I sometimes pull heavier loads behind me with just larger back wheels. Handle is comfortable height. Having carried my Dad's oxygen tanks around with my purse & stuff, I really wish I had had this cart.

    • A. Yes it rolls in a straight line on all four wheels. You must tip it for turns. You can either push the cart or drag it. It is very light duty and not well suited for heavy or concentrated loads. The tires are not well suited for rough surfaces and would not be expected to last with heavy regular use. Absolute weight limit is 125 lbs and would be fine for half that.
