    Great little weedeater

This weedeater is very lightweight. easy to charge. I have used it around the yard about 6 times now, 10-15 minutes each time. Probably didnt need a charge but I charged it anyways. charges very quickly and does a great job for being so small.

Much like another review on this, yes it does take some patience and practice to hack down taller grass blades. Most of my lawn is Bermuda with very few spots of St. Augustine growth. This isn't strong enough to edge the borders of your lawn for the first time but as far as upkeep goes it's perfect. The battery lasted at least two sessions and finally killed out completely on my third run unfortunately at the beginning. Maintenance, including restringing to assembly, was simple. It should be noted that the battery does take a while to charge. It's no trickle charge but it takes anything from 6 to 8 hours for the battery to recharge. And yes it does come with a wall charger. Not a bad purchase for medium to light yard work. I'm about 6'0" and the length of the trimmer was just long enough that I did not have to slouch or squat while using it. But I did have to extend the adjustable handle length as long as it would allow. It was so light that I really didn't need two hands to operate. So far so good though. We will see how well it works after a few seasons but I expect great things.

I am an older female who has some health issues and past shoulder surgery. I don't have a very large yard, but with garden borders, etc. there was a good amount of trimming to be done. My lawncare provider could mow and trim my yard within five minutes (and it looked like it) and charged about $7 a minute. Well I got tired of being ripped off and there were always areas that ended up getting neglected. I had no expectatiion when I ordered this, only that I knew I could not use a traditional gas powered trimmer, and I did not want to fool with a cord. I was concerned that the battery might make it heavy, but it is very light. The line feed is automatic so it takes no effort on my part to keep trimming. It had plenty of power and I could not tell any drain on the battery even after a good 30 - 45 mins. of work. The ease of not having to pull a cord for any start/restart is a game changer. Just buy it already, you'll love it.

The Black & Decker I have now is stiff & I have to pull it manually. (Awfull!)

    • The line extends easily on it's own, I have not had to pull it.

    • I had to pull at it a couple of times because I loaded the string funny during my first use but after restringing it I really didn't have any issue with it releasing enough line. It isn't like others that you'd have to tap on the ground. Instead it will lengthen automatically as you use it.

    • This is an automatic feed trimmer, but as I stated in my review, it only works 1/2 the time and you will manually need to pull it (which isn't hard, but a pain) the other 1/2.

    • No problem with this one. It adjusts on its own. We have only had it a couple of weeks and it comes out as needed without us doing anything to it.

    • It extends very easily, but do not pull out to much as it will chop down to its corecct size. And you may have wastage.
