I have had this mower long enough to use it 2 or 3 times. It seems to work as well as one might expect. It is quieter than a gas powered mower. It's probably a bit lighter too. Dealing with a cord is a little bit of a hassle, but it's not that big of a deal. I think that not having to deal with getting gas and worse, changing and disposing of oil and putting fuel conditioner in the thing during the winter will more than make up for it. I like the large wheels. I think that makes it easier to push, especially with an uneven lawn (like I currently have). And the height adjustment system makes it very easy to adjust. It remains to be seen if it will become a maintenance problem if it gets worn out. But that will be a few years in the future if ever I'm guessing. The initial assembly wasn't a big deal--fairly easy to figure out. I give it thumbs up. Don't forget that you must get a power cord. If I'm not mistaken, the manual says 14 gauge or thicker for 100'. That's what I got.

This is my thrid electric lawn mower and I took a chance with this new model after researching the earthwise line. I'm very pleased with the perchase. Unlike most electrics this one is not made of cheap plastic. It has a metal deck that is durable and long lasting. The larger back wheels help with mobility and getting around. The bag is normal size! I've seen some tiny toy mower with a bag half this size. My front yard has to only be emptied twice. The mower handled damp, tall, and three week old grass as well as a gas mower. It never fully clogged up but once when the wet grass finally blocked up the bag. For 60 dallars more this mower is well worth it over the plastic bagless models. The last and most impresive feature that wasn't mentioned before is the starting system. The mower will only start if you press a big button on the side of the dead man lever and then pulling the lever back. So kids will not be able to unintendally turn this on easily. Now if only they can design a retractable cord. For now I wrap the cord around the handle and let it out as I mow. This wasn't possible with other electrics that only had a handle that reached the right or left hand. The grip is also very fluffy. My hands never get sore or feel much vibrations from the mower. All in all this is to me an excellent piece of hardware that I wouldn't let my neighbors borrow. This one is mine get your own.

Great mower, I got it assembled with the help of my 11 year old holding the handle as support in a few minutes. It was easy to mow and though I did not take it up my little hill (we have bermuda there and it's dormant now), it did a good job on the fescue part. I tried the mulcher attachment too and it worked fine. As it's electric it takes a little bit of practice to keep the cord away, but that's nothing compared to a gas mower with the pollution and working hard to get it started. This ones purrs at the touch of the start button.

Point blank... I love my Earthwise lawnmower. I am so very happy with this purchase, no more pulling & yanking on the cord to start the lawnmower. I've used it five times, the yard is approx. a quarter acre it seems as if no effort is needed to cut the grass. You just plug in your power cord & off you go, little hills no problem, tall grass no problem. I have back, neck & shoulder issues from a car accident in the past with this mower I am not in pain when I am done with cutting the grass. A dream come true.

Great heavy duty mower

It is very heavy so I had to have help getting it into and out of my car, but once I got it out of the box all I had to do was put the handle on and voila!!! it was ready to go! I love how easy it is to change the height of the wheels and how nice it rolls over the grass. It cuts very clean and there was no grass clippings at all left on my lawn after I mowed it. ( I had the catch bag on it) If i had to be critical I would say that the catch bag is a little on the small side, but being a woman and not being very strong in my arms, I would have to say that it might be a good thing because the bag would be too heavy to empty. I also like the little clip on the right side of the handle that holds the extension cord so that it does not come unplugged.

  • A. It needs a heavy duty extension cord made for the outdoors. It must be a round jacketed cord listed by Underwriters Laboratories. (UL) It must also have the letters "WA" on the cord's jacket that assures that it is safe to use outdorrs.

  • A. You probably figured this out by now, but this mower will require at least a 12GA extension cord. This is really important safety feature.

  • A. your typical heavy duty cord with only one receptor is needed. available anywhere, but hardware stores carry a better variety of lengths.

  • A. it requires a 14 gauge outdoor extension cord. You will probably need 100'. Measure if you think maybe 50' will do. It would save you money.

  • A. Yes. I bought a 100 foot cord for about $50. Make sure the cord is good for at least 12 amps. By not having to buy gas it will pay for itself.
