I did a lot of research before deciding on this memory. Just remember numbers matter. ddr ddr2 ddr3 whatever know what you're replacing. Also make sure you read your computer bios on your owners manual to see what your mother board can handle. If you don't have an owners manual do an internet search for computer brand and model. I have a Dell Inspiron 1520 with vista. I had two 512 mb ram. I used to have all sorts of errors and blue screens. Not anymore after replacing with this ram. I am impressed. 02/09/2012
