The term Turbinehead refers to an air-driven brush bar, which spins up to 90 times per second and does an excellent job cleaning medium and short pile carpeting. The Turbinehead can be turned off on hard floors as well as delicate surfaces. The Dyson DC23 animal canister vacuum sits easily on stairs, allowing you to clean the often problematic nooks and corners on a staircase with ease.
The Dyson canister vacuum comes with an adjustable, lightweight wand, smooth cable rewind system and a dirt container that is both hygienic and easy to empty.
The lifetime HEPA filter in the Dyson DC23 HEPA bagless canister vacuum easily traps microscopic allergens, including pollen and mold. It has been certified by the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America as an asthma and allergy-friendly vacuum cleaner. Love!! Got this vacuum for Christmas and fell in love right away. The suction is amazing. It is lightweight and easy to pull around. Retractable cord is a convenient feature. The articulating head hardwood floor tool (sold separately) is a must on bare floors - works fantastically. So happy with the results, would definitely recommend to others. 01/17/2012
DC23 I would have to say some of the same things that some of the other users have stated. I really was purchasing the DC26 but ended up with the DC23 as it was on sale at Costco at a very nice price. I had a Kenmore for 15 years and needed a new vacuum. The DC23 picks up very well on both carpet and our wood floors. It has great suction and is nice and light to use. The downsides are this. If you are using this for only carpet, I would look at another Dyson. This is hard to push on the carpet for vacuuming, but for wood floors fantastic. I think the on/off button should have been on the handle not on the canister. The brushes are kind of plastic but work. I think more detail on the brushes and the unit is very plastic. no metal. I am still getting use to it. 01/16/2012
Great Machine We bought this little guy as a refurbished model from FRy's Electronics in December 2011. My wife needed something that was more mobile than the upright Dyson. She has been raving about this machine ever since we bought it.She claims it is easier to vacum underneath everything and is much lighter. She thought the power was less than the upright, but not sufficient enough to make any difference with the cleaning. So I guess that means the upright sucks more than it needs to.She is very happy with this unit and would highly recommned it! 01/11/2012
turbinehead vacuum cleaner I am very happy with my purchase. We have a dog who sheds quite a bit and this vacuum picks up the dog hair thoroughly from the carpet. The canister is easy to empty too.It is compact and fit in a small closet.I highly recommend this vac! 01/11/2012
