disappointed I'll start positive... I love the suction. BUT, it only works as long as things don't get plugged. And they do plug EASILY. I have a very small house with 2 large dogs and one large parrot. The parrot throws seed. The dogs shed. To vaccuum the Living Rm takes me more than an hour because every five minutes I have a clogged line. I have to tear the machine all apart, rinse it, and put it back together. It is NO FUN. There has got to be a better way.I empty the canister probably 6 times in all. That part I don't mind. I know I've got a clean carpet. It's the clogging that is soooo annoying.I am very disappointed. I will be moving soon to a much bigger house and I know this machine is NOT going to cut the mustard. 03/25/2012
DC26 multi floor It replaced a dirt devil cannister,two weeks later the Dyson is still pulling materilal out of the carpet in our RV we are living in. It is very easy to use and fits in a small space for storage in our Rv. We are very pleaed with this vacuum thankyou Dyson. 03/07/2012
Great! I love this - we have hardwood floors and two cats. I can go two weeks between vacuuming because it really gets *all* the cat hair and dust that is on the floors and furniture. Well worth the price! The only thing I would change is to have the air flow vent on the other side - I'm right handed and I carry the vacuum in my left. So it blows on me, but it is a very small price to pay for such a great appliance! 02/19/2012
Almost Perfect Let me say this first, I hate housework, and vacuuming was a dreaded chore. I had a premium canister from another well know manufacturer that was so heavy to lug around I was worn out before I was halfway through my house. The DC26 caught my attention because of it's compact size and maneuverability and has made vacuuming my home sooo much easier, I'm no longer worn out from lugging a heavy canister across the floor. Pros: lightweight, easy to use in tight spaces, cleans well, pivoting floor tool make quick work of baseboards too. Cons: power cord and hose need to be a bit longer for better reach, canister tips a bit easier than I would wish, pet owners may not like the small canister. Overall I love this vacuum, the cons are minor when compared with the ease of use. 01/23/2012
