LOVE IT!!!! I just received my vaccuum today and used to it clean my house and I don't want to stop!!!! The power and suction on this unit make a huge difference in the appearance of carpet in just one swipe. I cannot believe how much stuff my old Hoover was leaving in my carpets and I'm disgusted by it! The Dyson is a sweet vaccuum to look at but even better to use! The ball technology is amazing as well! I can literally corner around the bed and dresser and computer desk and sofa. It's so easy! My house even smells better without having to use a powder or Febreeze because of the Dysons filters and power! I would recommend this machine to anyone and everyone that needs a good vaccuum!!! A great product Great product.I have had this vacuum for almost a year now. I love it, and believe it is well worth the cost.The vacuum is not too heavy less than 12 lbs i think. We have not had any problems with it and the removable brush bar is great. So easy to clean. I would have to disagree with the other person who said it doesn't pick up enough hair. I have a corgi dog and she sheds alot.I may have to empty the canister a couple times but no matter how many times i go over the living room it always finds more dust or hair to pick up.I recently tested the vacuum at my moms house by using her canister vacuum to vacuum the living room, then went over it again with the dyson. The dyson picked up a whole canister worth of dirt the other one had mixed.The only cons i would have to say about this vacuum is that the cord is a little bit shorter than I would have liked. And the brush attachment tool doesn't have a spot to store on the vacuum. 01/01/2010
Confusing reviews, amazing vacuum. I was so confused after reading many product reviews, on just which sweeper to get. We have 6 cats, a dog, and a parrot, so cleaning up after the pet hair/feathers is a full time job, and a good dependable sweeper is a must. I was torn on spending the extra money for the Dyson, and some of the product reviews raved about it, while others were not as positive. But, I bit the bullet and bought it, thinking I will return it if it didn't perform as promised.I swept one small section of my carpet, and was IN LOVE WITH IT!!! It pulled up SO much hair, and dirt that I had no idea was in my carpet. I then go back over the same area with my old sweeper, pick up nothing. SO, to test it, I go back over the same area with the Dyson, picked up next to nothing. The carpet was CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN!! I have vacuumed all my older carpeting, and it looks like I have had them recently shampooed. It's brought the nap back to life, and makes the carpet look 5 years younger.I have also noticed a very marked decrease in the amount of dust that settles on my flat surfaces.The attachments are wonderful. The special cleaning head that comes with it is amazing. I've cleaned all my furniture off with it, and it brought it back to life as well. It pulls up the cat hair with ease.I also love how easily you can go from carpeting, to a rug, to hard flooring with it. The ball technology is a benefit, but did take me a minute or two to get used to steering it. I have also noticed that it makes things smell much fresher as I vacuum with it. The Dyson truly does clean the air as it vacuums.The only thing I would change about it is that I wish the cord was a bit longer, but still wouldn't give up my Dyson. I will definately purchase this again, hopefully years from now! 05/25/2010
DONT BUY I bought Dyson today after long research. I read so many reviews and most of the people were very happy with it.I have to say, I am very disappointed. I have a dog and a baby. I wanted strong vacuum to get hair out of the carpet, because I don't want my baby to have it all over clothes and hands when he is playing on the floor. I have to say, that Dyson left lots of hair behind. I know, no vacuum picks up everything but for the price I expected much more. Plus it is much heavier than I thought and it is hard to use hose to get to smaller places. Also it is pretty loud, nothing like commercial on TV says.I am going to return it tomorrow and get my money back. I will have to find something better maybe for less money. 11/03/2009
