The first one I received had a missing spring in the battery compartment, but returned it to our local store and they gave me a gift card to re-order it online. It was dissapointing that I had to wait for another one, as the first one was a birthday gift, but in the end, truly worth the wait! I would recommend this label maker. 04/18/2012
