This bath seat is great! Saves my back and gives me a free hand to soap my baby up. Other reviews knocked it for not sticking to the bathtub (put a little water in first, suction cups don't stick to dry surfaces, duh) or for being uncomfortable (it's a bath seat, not a puffy cloud). Other bath seats I looked at cost upwards of $40. This one is a great bargain, simple and effective.

A Wonderful Seat!!!!!

We originally purchased the Safety First bath seat that had the arm rest for parents. It was a good seat but very bulky & heavy. This made it very difficult to store when not in use. So, I found this one & decided to give it a try. I am using it for my 2 year old son who has Down syndrome. He sits well & is mobile but I just feel safer with him sitting in this during bath time. It's perfect. I love that it opens in the front, is light weight, stays well in the water & folds for easy storage. I highly recommend it to any parent looking for an affordable seat for their little one. Wonderful product!!!!!!!

My 7month old loves his bath chair. He is a larger baby with chubby legs and the leg openings are big enough, he actually has quite a bit of room to grow into it. Very easy to use. Bar locks in very securely so he cant accidentally get loose from the chair. Collaspes easily to store. Great product !

Safe Bath Seat

Customer review by AKPhilly

First let me say that no bath seat or product will ever be 100% safe for babies if there is not an adult supervising the child while using it. That being said I really like this bath seat. After doing a lot of research this was the least expensive with the best reviews. I expected something a little shotty but did the trick for the price. What I got was a well constructed, sturdy bath seat, for my "healthy" 8 month old daughter. There are no rough edges on the lap bar, everything is very smooth all the way around. The suction cups on the bottom are huge and stay in place amazingly well (we do have an uncoated tub however). And the latches for the lap bar cannot be undone by her. She wasn't sliding around in the seat nor was she squished, and the leg holes were roomy. No, you do not have easy access to her bottom and private areas for washing BUT she is sitting on them! At the end of her bath, I unlatch the seat, take her out so I'm supporting her standing, soap her up down there, and swish her in the water. No big deal! I HIGHLY recommend this bath seat. Don't waste double the money on something else because this one is REALLY GREAT!

  • A. The seat doesn't have a smooth surface, so the baby doesn't slide around on it.

  • A. ..no, you will actually pop the bar out with both hand, which makes it hard if your holding your baby and it falls forward which then allows you to sit your baby in the seat and then you put the bar back up and pop it into place. :)

  • A. My daughter does slide a little bit but she's not fully sitting up on her own yet. You can probably put a towel in it to make it to where the baby won't slide. When I use less water that seems to help too!!

  • A. When my daughter was about 6 mths old she slouched/slid into the front bar... but when she started to hold herself up better she sat in it perfectly! Which is great because she isn't ready to sit in the tub all by herself.

  • A. My daughter does slide into the front bar but that's due to her reaching forward for toys, or her natural tendency to lean forward now that she's just learning to sit. It hasn't caused any issues for us though and she loves the bath seat. It definitely has made bath time easier.

  • A. i bought this for my neighbor's baby and she has no issues sliding forward it's a phenomenal seat. the fact that it opens in the front makes it super easy to use. The seat is flat so there's no reason for your baby to slide or move at all unless he/she is playing.

I have a ten month old little boy and he is starting to out grow the infant/toddler tub and I was wanting to get him a bath seat like this one. I was just wondering how old the children are that this product has been bought for

  • A. We got this when he was 7 months. He would fall over in the infant tub. This keeps him upright.

  • A. My daughter is six months old and this works perfect for her. However, this seat isn't made for infants that can pull up unassisted and says to discontinue use once they are able to.

  • A. My granddaughter is 8 months old. so long as baby can sit up on his own, I think he's ready. He'll have so much fun in the water and you can enjoy watching him without having to hold him. Big bathtubs are so much more fun for babies.

  • A. my son was 7 months. it can be bought for 6 months and up to i think 14 or 18 months. it just depends on whether the child is willing to stay seated. if he decides to try to stand up in it, then it's not safe for him! but i love this seat! its great :)
