About this item

Season Seven: Seven years of peace have passed since the defeat of the monstrous Cell, and the Z-Fighters have enjoyed a return to normal life. Goku has eagerly continued his training in Other World, Krillin has gotten married, and Gohan has renewed his scholarly pursuits while attempting to navigate the pitfalls of high school. Two fresh new Saiyan faces have also appeared on the scene: Goku's son Goten, and Vegeta's son Trunks! Now, the time has come for the Z-Fighters to reunite, as the new World Martial Arts Tournament is set to begin. The greatest warriors on Earth have come together for their chance to capture the title of the reigning champion, Mr. Satan - but behind the scenes, sinister forces are at work. An evil eye watches the competitors' every move, waiting for the opportune moment to strike. The action grows fierce on the tournament floor, but for the Z-Fighters, the real fight is only just beginning! Contains episodes 195-219. Season Eight: The forces of good and evil have converged upon the planet Earth, and the fate of the universe hangs in the balance! The evil wizard Babidi has traveled across the galaxy on a quest for revenge, hoping to fulfill his father's thwarted dreams of universal domination. Meanwhile, the Supreme Kai has come to enlist the aid of the Z-Fighters in an effort to prevent Babidi from completing his plans and awakening a monster of unimaginable terror: Majin Buu! As Goku and the Z-Fighters descend into Babidi's lair, they are confronted by an army of powerful minions led by the Demon King Dabura himself! Can our heroes resist the wizard's dark magic and battle their way through this host of villains before time runs out? With each passing second, more energy is gathered for the sleeping Majin Buu. Should this creature of pure evil be awakened, all life - everywhere - will be extinguished! Contains episodes 220-253.

Great Seasons, Great Price!

You get two DBZ seasons (7 and 8) for under $40. That's a great deal! In season 7, some of the plots include Goku and Pikkon facing off in the Other World Tournament, Gohan going to high school and meeting Videl while trying to keep his "superhero" identity hidden by being the Great Saiyaman, and the World Martial Arts Tournament taking place soon after. In season 8, the Z fighters are told about Babidi and Majin Buu, Goku and Vegeta square off in an epic battle against each other, Goku ascends his Super Saiyan strength, and Goten and Trunks try to master the fusion technique. The seasons look really good because they are digitally remastered. However, just like the other seasons, there is a lack in the extras.

  • yes u get two separate dvd season packages in one. its awesome cause ur paying less for the package although its exactly the same as buying two "separate seasons" because each season has its own dvd case

  • The two seasons are brand new and come in one box. They don't have each of their own. The seasons are 7 and 8, but the screen shots shown on the back of the box are actually from season 5, and the description on the back is only about season 7. It's just a manufacturer error from FUNimation.

  • These DBZ Season sets have been released before but are now being released in a set with 2 seasons. I don't really get what you mean by in seperate boxes so, I'll try to answer: these new sets include 2 season box sets the only thing is that 2 boxes are being put together and include their original boxes with their box arts. Hope this helps.
