It's simple to operate and it appears to be sturdy. It's larger than I expected too. The radio works well and the sound is clear. It plugs in, but there's also a battery back up which is nice. It's well worth the money.The alarm has different settings to choose from.. either beep, radio or singing. They all work well but the singing sound may be a little frightening for kids to wake up to. The singing alarm makes moaning sounds before it starts singing. Just listen to it first before you choose that option.A reviewer here said the jaws on his clock didn't move. When I first opened mine the jaws didn't move either, but if you give them a little squeeze where the jaw connects to the face they''ll move like they're supposed to. I think it just gets loose in transport. 12/20/2012

We took it out to make sure it all worked, and it was so cool. The eye's light up, it talks, and the radio was much stonger than I thought it would be. A really great buy! Also it can become a collecter's item as well. Cool packaging too. 12/12/2012
