It's not clear like a real mirror, but is better than the old foil-type reflective surfaces that used to be used. Good enough that the kiddos have fun with it.

It is not a real glass mirror, just a reflective sticker. You can see yourself, but your reflection is slightly warped, like a fun house mirror.

The two characters can be seen clearly when activated by the push button. The child can use the mirror as their make up mirror, too.

The mirror is more like a sticker. You do see your reflection, but it's not an actual mirror.

Can the child see themselves in the mirror really good?

No, unfortunately the vanity is on the smaller side and seems geared more towards a smaller child. I'm 4'10 and the mirror or the top of the mirror on the vanity comes up to about my upper thigh. Most children using this will probably have to find something small to sit on if they wish to sit in front of the vanity or they might have to sit on the floor. Depends on child's height.

I have two granddaughters ages three and five. Needless to say the sisters are huge Frozen fanatics so I was sure they'd love this Crystal Kingdom Vanity inspired by Queen Elsa's ice castle in the film.

The vanity does require assembly but it is super simple. All the pieces snap together so it took less than five minutes. There are no stickers to apply, all decoration is already attached. The only tool needed is a screwdriver to open the back to install the batteries. It takes three AAA batteries. The vanity stands about three feet tall so little ones can stand in front of it while taller kids will need to kneel. There is no stool included. It comes with a hair clip with Elsa's braid attached, a comb, and a necklace. The drawer in the front can store these items and any other trinkets that little ones always accumulate.

The mirror is by far the coolest part. Press the Jewel once and Anna appears and the vanity plays “For the First Time in Forever” , press again and Elsa appears with more singing and finally with a third press both sisters appear and sing. The girls just love seeing there faces in the mirror with Anna and Elsa.

Perfect for every little Frozen fan

Our three-year old granddaughter is totally into the movie and characters of Frozen and being Elsa! When we received the Crystal Kingdom Vanity and first presented it to her, she was speechless - something we have not seen in a while! Needless to say, this vanity is the center of her play area and her new snack and beauty table! All of us are amazed by the three different mirror magically displays: one of Anna, another of Elsa, and the last being both of them. Also, each have separate music played during their appearances. Both the music and the magical displays are of a high quality, quite impressive! The mirror reflects like a normal mirror, until the red jeweled heart is pushed, then one display occurs, push the button again and the next display appears. It takes three AA batteries, which are not included, also you will need a very small Phillips screwdriver to open the battery installation door. It comes with accessories: a comb, a necklace, and a beret with an attached Elsa braded hair strand. I caution everyone to look over the beret, as the piece which holds the braded hair in place, looks to be a choking hazard. It arrived in great shape and was packed very well. It was simple to assemble, no tools required, except for noted battery door. All parts simple snap together, what a wonderful surprise! I would recommend this for your little princess, it is a winner!

Every little princess needs this vanity!

Like most young girls, my daughter loves, loves, loves anything related to the movie Frozen. This vanity fits perfectly in a corner of her bedroom, so she uses it daily as a catch all for her dollies, stuffed animals, and miscellaneous toys. Since the vanity also plays a few moments of 'For the First Time in Forever' song, she enjoys dancing around it and singing along. The vanity's mirror also displays glowing profiles of Anna and Elsa as it lights up and makes music.
Setting up the vanity is relatively easy and requires no tools or brute force. Just be careful not to bend the plastic support beams for the legs too far. The only problem we have had with the fabrication of the vanity is the drawer. If the drawer is full of the included goodies (a necklace, a comb, and a braid), and then the vanity gets knocked over, it can be a challenge to fish out the items from inside the plastic compartment. Other than that, it is simple to put together and use. My daughter is almost 6, and is the perfect height to enjoy the vanity to its fullest with or without a chair. In the picture she is on her knees in front of it.
With the holidays and birthdays always around the corner, this would make a great gift and a great addition to any little girl's collection of Frozen memoribilia.

Fun for little princesses!

This is a must have for little girls who love Frozen, my little girl loves watching herself in the mirror, and dressing up! Assembly was easy and only took a few minutes! You need 3 AA batteries and only need a screwdriver to insert batteries. The pieces of the vanity snap in to each other and you don't have to place any of the stickers on. The drawer could be a little easier to open and close but that's my only complaint! The vanity is over 3 ft tall and is recommended for ages 3+. There's no bench to sit on, the box shows the little girl sitting on the floor. My 2 year old is 33" tall and can stand at it perfectly so she'll be able to "fit" comfortably at it now and later. The plastic seems fairly sturdy and I don't think this will tip over easily. If it does, it's pretty light-weight so it isn't a concern of mine. My favorite thing is seeing my daughter stand in front of the vanity wearing either her Anna or Elsa dress and pushing the "jewel" button to see her face in between the light up images of Anna and Elsa on the mirror! It comes with a necklace, hair clip of Elsa's braid, and pink comb. There is a good amount of space left over in the drawer to add a few more accessories. I found some Frozen accessories in the dollar spot at Target and added those. A little Frozen fan will just love to see her face in the mirror with Anna and Elsa looking back at her!

Love It!

What every little girl wants a dress up vanity mirror to play with. This is really cute has Princess Anna and Queen Elsa image light up in the mirror. One negative is that in the daytime its kind of hard to see them shine thru but any Frozen fan would love this. It is the perfect toddler size and my only negative point about this vanity is that it doesn't come with a stool to sit on. I don't understand how much more costly it could have been for a stool. Over all its really cute for any little girl who likes to play dress up. Mirror is nice quality and it has a functioning drawer to hid treasures in. Vanity also comes with 3 accessories 1 blue beaded necklace, 1 hair clip with a blond braid, and 1 comb.

Took off 1 star for no seat

Our 4 and 6 year old use this with their new makeover kits they received at the same time. It's cute, just be aware that it's tiny so even our 4 year old cannot sit with knees tucked in even if we had the right sized chair. There was no stool included, so we put an IKEA stool beside it but it's way too big so it just allows them to sit beside it. Kids use it anyway! They use it like a table for their makeup kit. The mirror is a sticker.

If you are looking for something for a smaller child above the age of 3 yrs old, I'd recommend the Frozen vanity.
This item is on the smaller side. A taller child will have to sit on the floor in order to use the vanity and to be able to see herself in the mirror.

For the most part, I feel that you are paying for the "name" and not the features. This isn't something that could be used for hours of entertainment.
The features also include a comb, a very small necklace (if you want to consider it to be one due to it's size, it does seem more like a bracelet) and some sort of blonde braided hair extension that clips on.

Elsa and Anna do appear in the mirror, but their images are a bit faint. If the vanity is used in the daylight or well lighted area, their images will probably not be seen.
The song that plays on the vanity is only music, not an actual song and will play for about 20 seconds.

The positives to the Frozen vanity are:
The volume of the music isn't loud.
The actual mirror is a sticker, child proof and there isn't a need to worry about broken glass from a mirror.
Assembly was easy. It only took about 5 minutes. No tools required except a screw driver to open back area to insert batteries.
The legs are really sturdy, lock into place and the vanity will hold up just as long as a child isn't standing or sitting on it.
The pull out drawer is nice and is a decent/small size meant to hold small items.
The design of the vanity is cute and very girly.

Would I recommend this vanity? Yes and no. but would wait until it comes down in price.

In the middle with this.

So every kid is all about frozen lately. What better to get a little girl than a frozen vanity? First unboxing was normal and you didn't need any tools to put it together with the exception of a Phillips screwdriver for the battery compartment. It took 3 aa batteries which were NOT included.

The box says that the vanity is good for ages 3 and up. I got it for my 2 year old niece. I would like to say that the commercials and such show girls that are older in the 5 and 6 age range and this vanity is way too small for that. Also, it does NOT come with a stool or chair of any sort which I think for the price is ridiculous.

It also comes with a little accessory pack containing a hair comb, a little clip in elsa braid and a necklace. The vanity has two holographic typtype images on the mirror part that light up when you press the pink heart on the vanity top. It also plays a little music when you press the heart.

Overall it's very cute, but quite honestly I don't think it will get a whole lot of use because I think the 2 year old I got it for will probably outgrow it by next year.

cute but small

I was super excited to receive this vanity for my daughter, until I opened the package and started "putting" it together. The plastic is cheap and very flimsy and the legs "snap" into place. The leg "support" is even flimsier than the legs themselves. The mirror also "snaps" into place and has no bracing or support whatsoever. Once assembled the vanity looks nice however if I breathe hard enough on it might fall over, let alone what will happen when my daughter leans on it. This vanity has one drawer and comes with 3 "accessories" a necklace, comb and a fake hair braid. Aside from the quality issues the vanity does look nice put together. The only way you know that it's a Frozen product is by the one sticker on the top of the mirror and the images that appear in the mirror. The images that do appear in the mirror when you push the crystal heart are nice and clear and the music isn't too bad. I'm disappointed that this vanity isn't on the same level as some of Disney's previous princess vanities. However if your looking for a vanity that is inexpensive, cute and your not worried if it gets destroyed in the first few months, this will certainly fit the bill. I don't expect this to last very long in my house since my daughter is somewhat "rough" on her toys.

Flimsy and Cheap

Before you assemble, read this since the instructions don't tell you to. Attach all the legs together with the braces BEFORE inserting them together into the base. Other than that it assembles quite easily. The set is attractive, but too small for even the smallest chair. I believe it was designed like the box art with your child sitting on the floor. You need 3 AA batteries for the music and image to appear. When you press the jewel on the vanity the each character is "supposed" to appear with a unique music cue. The 3rd time you are "supposed" to see both. All I saw were ghostly sort of images of each and then both them at best. The music sounds good but must get really annoying by the time your child presses it to hear it again. I can only imagine that it would be equally unappealing for the child as well. The accessories are ok. The hair braid doesn't really have a purpose and the comb has a jewel on the handle to bling it up. Be careful moving the vanity since if the accessories are in the drawer and you turn it on its side/or upside down they will fall out of the drawer into the back of the base becoming extremely difficult to get out. The most redeeming quality of this is if you want a small vanity/mirror/table for your child that looks nice. If you want some atmospheric furniture then this is for you.
