It folds the opposite direction so that it can't fall undone when sitting on it. It is pretty thick, sturdy plastic and rests directly on the seat. I am pretty sure it would hold my weight as an adult. My 8 year old can sit on it without a problem.

It's pretty sturdy but Idk if there's a weight limit...my son is almost 30 lbs...I only plan to use it as long as he's uncomfortable sitting on the toilet with fear of falling in.

I would say that 10 years and around 80 pds would be its limit...

Not sure b/c i don't have the description but my child is 35lbs & he's 3 & it caves in.

I purchased this so when I'm out with my grandson I can take him to potty in the public restrooms without the worry of him sitting on the nasty toilets and falling. Perfect fit and secure. Comes with a storage bag which is wonderful.

GREAT BUY!

Purchased this seat for travel in the diaper bag while potty training a toddler. This seat is durable enough to withstand the abuse a child can place on it, and it folds down neatly and comes with it's own storage bag that fits into most diaper bags. Padded corners help to keep seat secure to public toilets.

Great Value, Durable Construction

Works just as I imagined. Great price (under $8). I just wish it came with a pouch/carrying case and maybe have a cup attached for little boys who can't control their spray and have to sit on the toilet versus being tall enough to stand and potty. But with it being foldable/semi-compact, it is a lot easier than toting around his potty we have at home (he is only 2 but has been training for about 2-3 weeks). Really makes it easier when he has to go potty on "big" toilets when we are away from home.

This is a very cute travel potty seat, and its theme definitely appealed to my son. It folds small enough that I can literally fit it in my purse, and he loves to unfold it (click! snap!) and put it on the toilet seat. My only complaint is that the plastic has a little give to it, so he's a bit nervous that it's going to drop him into the potty. It's not...but when you're 2, logic doesn't necessarily allay your fears. Otherwise, I'm happy.

A little flimsy, but folds very small.

Just what I was looking for. Could have small handles for tot to hold on too and wish it came with a carrying case. I just put in in the plastic that it came in with the snaps and it works. Fits right in my purse or diaper bag. Very convenient!!

It does the job of keeping my kiddos bottom off public restroom seats. The opening would be o.k. for a smaller child. My son is an average size 2 1/2 yr old and the opening is a little small for him. No fear of falling through at least. The pads on the bottom do not do a very good job of steadying the seat. My son loves to use it though since it has his favorite Lightning McQueen character on it. If it weren't for that I don't think he would be so excited to use it. You could see the fear in his face the first time it slipped while he was sitting on it. All in all it does it's job and for the price you probably can't beat it. As for the reviews of being pinched between the segments, I can see it happening just make sure it is fully snapped in place when unfolding and lift your kiddo off instead of letting him slide off. We'll keep using it as long as my child remains exited about it.

It was there...we used it...it worked...

I like how the seat folds up small to easily fit in my diaper bag. However, it has not really fit ANY of the toilets I have used it on yet. I have to hold it still while my son sits on it or it will slide off with him. Also, when he sits on it, it seems to buckle down. My ideal seat would be more oval shaped with a splash guard but can still fold down small. But I guess this will have to do in the meantime.

Portable but Flimsey

I got this potty seat for my son who loves Disney Cars. When I opened the package and opened the potty I realized that it's a bit flimsy and when I tried it on our home toilets it didn't secure well. We used it for the first time outside and my son was a bit scared because it does moves or wiggles a bit...but when you have to go you have to go, even if your potty seat is wiggly. One thing I like is that I can easily wash it and put it away in its own plastic bag.

A bit flimsy

I took this portable toilet seat out with my son and it was a disaster. It did not stay on the seat. My son was sliding back and forth on the seat and his urine on the floor. It was ridiculous.
