    Excellent apartment vac I just moved from a smaller to a larger one bedroom apartment. Our new apartment has hardwood floors except for the bathroom and kitchen (ceramic tiles). The only vacuum I had was a big, bulky old hand-me-down from my mother-in-law that basically got the top layer of the carpet and dust bunnies but not much else.I wanted a smaller vacuum that wouldn't scratch hardwood floors or tiles but that would still pick up dust and dirt. This little vac has been fabulous! It's really light and easy to maneuver. It works well for the hardwood floors and for our area rugs. For small or awkward places, I use a broom to sweep the dust out, but then I let the vacuum suck it up... no more dust pan! I was even able to vacuum those salts you get on your shoes from the pavement without any problems. They were all over my kitchen floor from going in and out and the vacuum got each little piece. I continue to be amazed with the amount of dust, dirt, and hair (human and dog) that this little vac picks up. I really feel like my floors are so much cleaner than they would have been with the old vacuum or a broom and dust pan.I vacuum the whole apartment 3 or 4 times a week. I've been using it for several weeks now and have only emptied the canister a couple times. It's very easy and you can rinse it in the sink to remove all of the grime. I also appreciate how the handle collapses--you can store it in any space.Cons: It's not small enough to get very far under my queen bed; it is surprisingly loud for such a small vacuum; there are no attachments; and the paint is a bit cheap. I love the turquoise color but the paint has come off in a few places. I do wish there were some attachments but I may buy them from Dirt Devil (other reviewers did this).For $30, this really is an excellent deal. Perfect vacuum for apartments or smaller homes. I'd probably buy a couple if I lived in a house--one for each floor.One last note: I did site-to-store shipping and was initially disappointed when it said it would take almost 2 weeks for the vacuum to arrive. However, I received the confirmation email less than a week later and was able to pick it up even sooner than expected. I was very pleased. 01/22/2010
    The Perfect Vac 4 Me For months I've been searching for a vacuum cleaner that will pick up cat litter off my unfinished basement floor. I have been through at least 5 mid-priced vacuum cleaners, and all just "shoot" the litter particles out the back, redistributing the mess. I saw the Dynamite and thought I'd try just one more time. I wasn't hopeful -- I was afraid I'd just be getting what I paid for considering the price of this vacuum and the fact that it actually weighs less than my purse. Wow! Was I surprised. It picks up cat litter, cat hair, and everything else with just one swipe. I'm so thrilled that I actually look forward to vacuuming now . . . well, at least I don't dread it.
