My son ran to play with this train set every AM. Overall this is a great train set for the price.Pros:- lights up and is fun to play with- the two dinosaurs that came with the set were a hit with my son- fairly easy to set-up once I figured it out. I thought I was going to have to wait till my husband got home to set it up, but found out that the pieces were marked which made things easy.Cons:- this could be a pro if my son were older, but he wanted to move the train himself and not have it automatically go around the track on batteries. I ended up taking the batteries out as he freaked out when the train went on his own.- train tracks sometimes disconnect. This is fairly par for the course as this happens all the time with our Thomas the Train set. 09/07/2011
Some effort to assemble, but lots of fun This item was more difficult to assemble than I had anticipated. The instructions were unclear and not comprehensive. It took some trial and error, but we prevailed after 30 minutes.Once assembled, it provided lots of entertainment for my nephews. The lights in the mountain made fun sounds and had flashing lights. I was a bit disapointed that I had to buy all the accessories to get additional figures. But my nephews had plenty of fun with the figures that came with the item. The track was longer than I expected which added to the entertainment. 09/06/2011
Poorly engineered I was shocked that this product was reviewed so well. The tracks do not stay together for my kids to play. We have several sets of geotrax that do stay together and we all love. My kids love dinosaur train and the lights are cute which is the positive. So glad I got this on an amazing sale. Will stick with geotrax. 01/28/2012
The train tracks don't stay together and the train gets stuck....the track falls apart. Poorly designed.It cannot pull more than 3 very well. 12/25/2011
