Dimplex Traditional Electric Wood Stove, Cranberry 42 44
Good as it gets for not much moola This stove is a fantastic addition to my living room. I live in a barn and it can be a touch drafty in the loft, so I needed an attractive space heater to help on the really cold days. I found this unit here on Walmart.com and the also checked around the net at various other places. First of all, Dimplex is the king of electric stoves such as this, with their more modest entries such as this being as good or better visually than other manufacturers top of the line equipment. The flame, although not fooling anyone (but my cats), is realistic enough to make relaxing after a long day enjoyable. The heat output is enough to run you out. It is adjustable, which I really like! And the finish is beautiful...not a scratch in shipping and a wonderful deep luster to the cranberry color. This unit is on other sites from 319 bucks to 369 bucks. These were listed "with remote". This one wasn't so I figured "Who needs it anyway". Turns out it does have the remote! I would recommend this to anyone. Pretty, efficient and a great value! Excellent for any size home I love this fireplace. I did a good amount of research and found this one to be the best. It was even better than I expected from the picture. Flames are great and logs look as real as pictured. There weren't quite as many as in the picture, but still adequate and very effective. The color was gorgeous. If I have one little drawback it is the amount of heat this fireplace puts out. It isn't as powerful as I hoped but still up close it woks great. My dogs love to get in their beds which I have placed near the fireplace and snuggle. For them it is wonderful. I do have it in a large room and I know it wasn't made for this huge of a space but I still gave it a 10. In a smaller room I think it would work great. That being said the atmosphere it creates is wonderful. Cozy, inviting. It is easy to move around yet solid. Does not get hot to the touch which was a biggy for me. Could fit anywhere in any room. The price through Walmart was incredible compared to everywhere else I checked. I had it delivered to my house for .97 cents. All I had to do was unpack it. I am thrilled. 12/23/2011
Just what we were looking for....something that would allow us to turn down the house thermostat but keep us warm in our family room and adjoining rooms. It certainly has done the job and without running up the electric bill. Beautiful color, just what I was hoping it would look like. Flame is very realistic and the warmth in the family room is just so cozy....absolutly great product!! 12/18/2011
I Love It! Before I got the heater my electic was $48.00 that is without heat in my apt. Now I have been using it every night and my next bill way $50.00. I love it. My grandkids come over and say maw maw has a store in her bedroom. I just smile. 12/06/2011
