They work great, providing a comfortable, white-noise deadened environment to listen to your audio. The two drawbacks have always been price and size. When you're on the go, over the ear headsets (like Bose) lose out in convenience to earbuds, but earbuds don't traditionally offer technology like noise cancellation. With the Digital Silence Noise Cancelling Earbuds, these two areas (noise cancellation technology and convenient size) have been brought together. The Digital Silence Earbuds work like this: An in-ear bud shaped to fit snugly inside the ear canal helps to provide a measure of soundproofing for your eardrums. A switch on the cord is flipped, and the sound cancellation technology will filter out the remaining white noise. This works surprisingly well and you will be amazed at the difference it provides, and how much better the audio sounds devoid of this background noise. This is the mid-range Digital Silence earphone product, and it delivers on most fronts. The noise cancellation technology was wonderful, allowing me peace and quiet on my plane as a I watched a movie or tried to sleep. Sound levels were good but the audio reproduction should be better for a $60 or so product. My other complaints are that other than the noise cancelling dongle, the headphones themselves didn't feel like a premium product. The accompanying case was nice as well, but promoted tangles. Finally, the way the earphones wrap around the back of your neck instead of under your chin may turn some people off who don't like this arrangement. Still, overall a very solid product that works as advertised. 10/02/2013
Rated 2 out of 5★ by Dentarthurdent Compact earbuds but I'm not impressed I haven't used noise-canceling headsets before, so maybe this is normal, but I heard a hiss while noise cancellation was on that isn't there when it's off. This isn't what I expected and I'd rather have better sound without the noise cancellation than to have this constant hiss.It is fairly compact, and I like that the battery is rechargeable (by included USB cable), so the noise cancellation module is small and lightweight. Also, there is static and buzz if you try listening while charging. 10/17/2013
