We had bought a ps2 online used, and it came with 17 games that ended up not working... all were scratched to pieces, and none would play. We bought this in hopes of fixing one or two... fixed all but one, and that one had like key mark size scratches in it... GREAT product for the money!!

i bought this item because i had 2 xbox 360 games that did not work properly. After using the product so far, the games are working fine. the product was a little hard to use because you have to jam your disk into the slot. I thought my game was going to break when i first started turning the knob, but it worked fine. the product is good but only if you handle it properly. (read the instructions before you start using the product!!!!)

This is one of those products that just does exactly what it says with minimal fuss. The directions are about 4 steps long and tell you exactly what to do and how to do it, and I buffed out a DVD with what I'd call medium-level scratches to perfection in one treatment round. It leaves radial buff marks on the disc, but the instructions inform you of this and they don't interfere with the playing of the disc. This gadget will save the majority of discs with minor and medium scratches, though probably not deep gouges. Note: the product I received had a purple wheel, but was the same manual-crank item as pictured. As an additional test, I dragged the data side of a used CD-R on a dirty linoleum floor under my foot, then buffed it. After one round with the buffer, it came out with the kind and amount of scratches you'd see on a rental DVD, and it was playable. The wheel and buffer fluid are sufficient to run about 25 buffer rounds (some discs may require more than one round).

  • basically, it is a scratch repairing tool. during the circular resurfacing motion it will fix any minor scratches that are on the disc, the disc must be cleaned/wiped off before hand or dirt/dust will be ground in causing more problems, so when you buy one, hold onto the instruction booklet it comes in handy right out of the box and in a pinch when you need a reminder. remember to buy an accessory kit when purchasing it to have a replacement wheel as after a certain number of resurfacings it must be replaced as stated in the booklet. after a full rotation take the disc out and place it on the blue drying cloth dry it off then use the included white buffing pad to restore the "shine of the resurfaced disc, it is recommended that you wait for awhile before playing or listening to the disc in question after doing so. Hope this helps.

  • Quite simple. 1. Spray the CD with included solution 2. Stick the CD in 3. Rotate crank until CD has completed one revolution. (Essentially smooth sanding the cd radially) 4. Dry with included drying cloth 5. Briefly buff (radially) the cd with included buffing pad May have to repeat again if cd is really bad.

  • You spray the CD or DVD with a solution they provide and put it in the device. You turn the handle about 50 times. As it rotates, it really cleans up the disc. When completed you wipe the disc clean with a cloth they provide. Works great.
