Looks great, but beware really soft wood I got this crib after reading many reviews and settled on it because I loved the broad piece on the headboard and loved the color. It's sturdier than I was expecting for the price but doesn't quite match the dresser (which I also ordered). The staining is a little wonky. The wood, which I'm assuming is pine, is also very very soft and scratches and dents really easily. I know I'll get great use out of it as a crib but probably wont be converting it to a full sized bed because by then it'll look horrible. My baby isn't even here yet and all I've done is take the pieces out of the box and assemble and there are scratches and dent marks even with practicing extreme caution. I don't think this is atypical though for cribs in this price range, so I'm not too upset about it. If you're looking for an inexpensive, sturdy crib for a few years use then this is a great purchase. Just be sure to get a bumper for the rail. 08/18/2011
Inexpensive and surprising quality! This crib is beautiful! I have pretty high standards, and I will admit that I was worried about the quality when I ordered it, but this turned out to be a sturdy piece, and it looks a lot more expensive than it is. I looked at more expensive sets from other stores, but the mixed reviews kept sending me back to this piece with mostly great reviews. I'm so glad I settled on this set (I bought the crib, mattress and dresser combo). Since I didn't pay 2-3 times the money on it, I won't have to feel bad if baby chews on it or it get scratched. My husband put this together while I was gone one afternoon and he said it only took him about 20 minutes.We had it shipped site to store, it was packaged well, and there was no damage to any of the pieces. I specifically chose to ship site to store in hopes that it would be handled with more care than whatever freight company would ship it to my house.I'm completely happy with the purchase and can't wait until we find out what we're having so I can decorate for baby! 08/10/2011
Horrible The crib and dresser does NOT match. The dresser has a cherry looking finish and the crib is the espresso as advertised. We had problems with the dresser drawers opening and closing, and they only opened up bout 8 inches instead of the hole 14 to 16 inches of the drawers. My husband fully assembled the dresser and had the crib nearly assembled when we realized the colors were different. He soon notice that he could not attach the bed spring to the bed because the pre-drilled and taped holes were on 2 different sides. He then dis-assembled both of them and we returned them both back to Wal-Mart and received our full refund. 02/04/2012
Nice crib My daughter hasn't been born yet so we haven't actually tried it but it's very nice, didn't take too long for my husband to put it together but it did come with a few little scratches but none too noticeable. 11/25/2011
