I bought this organizer for my 3 yr old daughter's room. It was marked down from $49.88 to $39.00. I don't know if I would pay $49 for it but at $39 it was a great value in my opinion. The bins are made of a thin fabric but I feel like they will hold up well. I prefer the fabric bins over the hard plastic ones as well. I like that this organizer is more wide than it is tall so my daughter is able to easily reach all of the bins herself. It is very sturdy and I don't have any fears of it falling over on her either. So all-in-all I am very happy with this purchase. My daughter's room looks so much more organized and neat and I like that we can put her toys away in the various bins so she can see everything and not get frustrated looking for a certain toy (which is what happens when we throw all of her toys in a big toy chest). I have another child on the way and I'm thinking it wouldn't hurt to buy another one of these! :)

Purchased this for my 2yr old granddaughter this past Christmas for her toys. It was easy to assemble and with the metal bars that hold the cloth canvas shelves it is also sturdy. The bottom large bins sit on the floor and can handle the heavier items while the smaller bins on top are great for the little dolls or stuffed animals. She liked it right away and was happy to put her toys away in the bins when asked. Much nicer than a toy box where items are less organized.

I bought this organizer for my kids (daughter almost 3 and son 5) and couldn't be happier with it. I like that it has different sized bins so my kids can store different things (small toys, art supplies, books etc#. The item is very well made and was easy to put together. It's lightweight so it's easy to move but at the same time sturdy especially when toys and accessories are in the bins. I like the fact that the bins are fabric rather then plastic...they are great quality and because the colors are primary this works well for both my kids #fights break out easily in this house if one thing is too "girly" or conversely "not for girls"). I am thinking of getting another one because it's a great way to keep things stored neat and organized. I would reccomend this to anyone who has children - goes great in any room and is perfect for girls or boys.

This looks exactly like what I need, I have a climber and I didn't want "sturdy" bins that he can use to climb up on things. But if he does attempt to climb on this, would he damage it? I.E. is it fabric over cardboard that would get misshapen if he plays with it? What makes the fabric bins keep their shape?
    by Cindy 11/10/2012
    • If your child attempted to climb on this, it would collapse and break apart. Not sturdy at all.

    • The bottom insert into each bin in cardboard, the rest is just mesh. The bins can handle a lot. I have a monkey too and this can withstand him. I wouldn't want him climbing on it for safety reasons, but if he got to it for a minute before I saw it, I wouldn't be worried it would be ruined.

    • I guess the bins could get misshapen but they're not stretchy. They would probably be more likely to rip than get misshapen. They keep their shape based on having things in them that fill them out and a little bit because of the stiffness of the fabric. There is a piece in the bottom of each bin that can be removed that appears to be cardboard covered in fabric and it stabilizes the bottom but the sides and bottom of the bins themselves are pure fabric.

    • Yes he would damage the boxes (they are fabric over cardboard) as well as the fabric shelves.

    • The fabric bins keep their shape by means of the cardboard inside them. Yes, they can be damaged by toddlers playing with them. But IMO, that's not the real problem. The rest of the unit is quite fragile: wooden sides with metal poles holding some kind of tough fabric "shelves". It sways if you push on the side gently. So, no, it's not going to hold up if a toddler plays with it.

    • This organizer wouldn't hold a climber and yes he could damage it. My grandson is also a climber, but he has never attempted to climb on this. :] The fabric bins have a fabric covered piece that fits into the bottom of each bin to keep its shape. The sides are made out of a heavier nylon fabric. It is a very nice colorful organizer.

    • I have a climber and he has been in the smallest and largest boxes. They have a flat piece that lays in the bottom to keep the shape and they come flat so they can go back that way as well.

    • I just got one of these a few weeks ago for my daughter. There is a piece of material that has loops to slide over the front rods and then loops around the back rods, forming a shelf for the top and middle shelves and a back to the middle shelf. It will keep the bins from falling through.

    • It does, but it'a a fabric shelf. The fabric is strong and the way it's attached to the poles, it makes the fabric tight so it doesn't droop down.

    • It's not an actual shelf, just a piece of canvas that holds the canvas bins in place. Hope that helps!
