The bed is very strong -- it is strong enough for adults to easily sit on the bed (once the mattress is on the bed) without any concern of the bed breaking. We are very happy with the bed. 11/21/2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by Meli464 Great value! We just purchased this bed for my almost 2 year old. He loves it! It is REALLY small, much smaller than I imagined, but it's honestly a great size for him. It should definitely last us until he is ready to move to a twin size bed. I chose this crib because of the design. It matches our baby's crib. I will say, from the picture I thought the wood looked like it was almost an espresso color. I was REALLY hoping the actual bed looked as dark as it does in this picture, but unfortunately, it's not. It is still a dark color and is definitely darker than regular cherry, but it's exactly what it says in the description: Dark cherry. It still matches okay with our other espresso baby furniture, just not perfect. 11/17/2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by HokieInTN Attractive and functional. We purchased this bed for our son's 2nd birthday, and he's been sleeping in it for about 6 months. We like the look of it, and enjoy the fact that it looks like a smaller version of adult furniture. It certainly serves its purpose and has worked well for our son. It is plenty sturdy for our son, although I would hesitate for my husband or myself to lay down on it. I wouldn't want to risk breaking it. I like that it has an extra set of legs at the midpoint to provide some extra support, although we frequently stub our toes on it. Assembly was fairly straight-forward, but it can take a while. Some of the pieces are easily mistaken for each other and I had to go back and swap out some pieces when I was about two thirds finished. Overall, we are pleased with the product. 01/27/2012
