Dell Fire Red 14" Inspiron N411Z Laptop PC with Intel Core i3-2350M Processor and Windows 7 Home Premium 3.9 5 52 53
Worst Performance with lot of heating & Noise Cons :There is no pin to connect Mic only a audio jack is there. The scroll pad is not smooth nor intelligent. Below were the issues laptop went through1. Gets heated very quick. ( just open a browser and few more tabs in it).It starts making noise and heat air comes out on the left side.2. Makes lot of noise by the Fan. Its so disturbing even in the day time. At night, its just annoying.3. The AC adapter gets heated up as if its burning. Also, laptop does not recognize the Adapter and do not charge the battery. It displays a message saying unable to recognize the adapter. ITs not compatible etc..4. Once laptop gets heated and used for 2-3 hours, it just shuts off by itself.5. This is a weird issue. If i play games by keeping the laptop on table, it works fine. But, i can take it on my lap, laptop shutsdown within 2 mins of playing the game. The fan duct was not closed by my lap or carpet.6. The USB port and audio jack was not working after technician replaced the mother board to fix above issues.I requested for a refund and instead they offered to replace with a brand new laptop. I agreed to it and received new one 2 days back. And, to my bad luck, even this has same issues. The main which turns me down is the heat and noise. I had HP laptop and switched to DEll for on main reason is performance and heating issue in HP. This was very disappointing. Not sure if all the z-series laptops in Dell have this problem. To make it thin, have they encountered any challenge?Pros :Leight weightSound quality is goodCamera is of good quality 12/29/2011
Perfect for College As a college student, the Dell Inspiron 14z is perfect. The battery life is phenomenal and the laptop itself is very thin and lightweight. I chose the Intel Core i5 processor which provides users with blazing fast speed without sacrificing battery life. Furthermore, the laptop feels very sturdy while its durability is enhanced by the aluminum brushed body.Pros: Battery LifeCons: Speakers could be more impressive 12/27/2011
The worst experience ever I purchased this lap top as a Xmas gift for my 13 year old son and it only worked for 4 hours, we opened yesterday and installed a couple of programs and this morning the computer didn't respond so we called the customer service and after doing all the checkups and a system test found out that the hard drive was bad, I never purchased a DELL computer before but I was very disappointed with this first and last time experience with DELL. 12/27/2011
Very happy! We received our Inspiron 14Z as a Christmas gift from our son. (He is in a very technical field and a computer geek so he did his research first and picked this one as best for us.) Our old computer had "died" and my husband's laptop had also "kicked the bucket!" We were down to my little netbook for home use. So our sweet son had this beautiful laptop shipped to us. It is beautiful to look at, a joy to use, and just right for us. He put some upgrades on it. It has the backlit keyboard and Office 2010. The espresso color is very attractive and different. We have been using this now for a couple of weeks. (It came before Christmas and of course when I saw the Dell box from FedEx is didn't last until Christmas until we opened it!) The setup was super easy and the features are great. I love the keyboard! It is very easy to type on and looks great too! Would I recommend? Yes, I would to anyone needing a great all-around laptop for general purposes and good portability. I use a computer daily at work and at home and am the one in my office that everyone goes to when they need computer help, so I've used a lot of computers and know what I like. We are very pleased with this laptop! 12/26/2011
