Starring: Eli Gold
It wasn't a great day for a football game. With rain flooding Birmingham's muddy Legion Field and cold winds swirling about, Alabama and Auburn battled the elements as much as they did one another. In a back and forth contest where a single play could make the difference, the Crimson Tide's quarterback, Ken "Snake" Stabler, took matters into his own hands, following key blocks by teammates on his way to a messy, 47-yard score. "Defining Moments: Run in the Mud" recalls Tuscaloosa in the 1960's a golden era of Alabama football, as seen through the eyes of former players and coaches. Coach Paul "Bear" Bryant stood tall atop the coaching ranks and Stabler was the leader of a bunch of tough, talented young men. "Defining Moments: Run in the Mud" is one of five documentaries in the "Defining Moments: Alabama" series. Other documentaries include "Goal Line Stand", "The Kick", "315", and "Takeaway".
Original 46-minute documentary on the "Run In The Mud" plus Extended Interviews, Behind-The-Scenes footage and photos, In-Depth interview with Ken Stabler.
