Great Value Ball was EASY to blow up..just remove the plug and insert the straw and 2-3 blows...DONE..reinsert the plug. I liked that they also give you some nutritional info. and background on yoga and pilates. The band is a LIGHT resistance band, as stated on the package. The ball pictured IS the ball in the kit. I was VERY happy with my purchase and HIGHLY recommend it to beginners in yoga and pilates. 01/29/2010
Not what I expected... I purchased the kit and opened it up, hoping to get what was on the box. As many others have stated, the ball was NOT the one pictured. Instead of a small exercise ball that is pictured, they give you a rather cheap foam-feeling ball that is smaller than the one pictured.Second, to inflate the ball, they give you a straw. I have a hand pump for fitness balls that I used and I was sort of expecting a hand pump to be included. It was not so, instead you get a straw. Gross? Cheap?The DVD was just about useless. I have a large collection of fitness DVDs, and this one is the worst. Iv never seen a DVD that didn't include any sort of introduction, or beginner/advanced levels and yet, that's how this one was. It was the most robotic feeling 'this is how you do this... this is how you do this...' which is counter-productive in terms of Yoga.The resistance band was fine and the strap was also good. The mat was a little better than I expected.Overall, I was pretty disappointed. I had a mat and strap/bands already and if I knew that was basically all I was getting, I wouldn't have purchased it. 05/03/2010
All but one thing ... I think this product/kit is great all for one thing ... the ball. For one thing, it's not the ball that is pictured. That is a better-quality ball. Danskin/Walmart does sell that ball in a pink color for about $8, though. For another thing, the ball is very hard to blow up. We ended up just using a pump for it, which worked much better. Other than that, I really like this kit! 04/10/2009
Danskin Fan not Impressed The mat was a lot thinner then I was expecting which is easy to get over. However, the ball that comes with it is impossible to blow up. Maybe I just don't know what I'm doing but it comes with a small straw that doesn't even fit in the hole to blow it up. The stretch band and cotton band are okay, definately not what I was expecting though. I honestly thought that the stretch band was a resistant band, but I was wrong and I've never used a cotton band before so I don't know what to do with it. The DVD that comes with it is boring and not something that I would use. The only part of this entire package that I can use it the mat and the set of 8 stretches it comes with and they are hardly worth the 20 bucks. 02/14/2009
