Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Value Shoots great group, about a dime at 50 feet. Important thing is to break it in properly. using pellets, shoot 10 times with three pumps, and then shoot another 10 times with 5 pumps. Afterwards, you shoot with up to 10 pumps and it will be very accurate once you attach the scope and sight it in. scope is easy to sight in as well. 08/07/2011

Rated 4 out of 5 by AWSOME!!!!!!!!!!!!! i used my dads bb gun which is the same as this and it was awsome it had good handling and shot great with bb's i recommend this to everyone i know 07/25/2011
Rated 3 out of 5 by Good Beginner Gun I got this gun for myself for some backyard target shooting about 2 years ago. Never tried to use it with pellets but shoots fairly accurately with BB's. My only complaint would be that the stock of the gun is hollow plastic and is not fastened securely to the rest of the gun. In fact the stock busted off just today, and not from a drop or other jolt, just from shooting. 08/18/2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great power and accuracy for the price Great gun for a beginner - plenty of power and accuracy. I bought two for my twin boys and both have lasted through the first month - that is saying something. They have shot over 2000 rounds of BBs at targets in my backyard and continue to shoot daily. Well worth the money for the enjoyment they are having with the guns. 03/08/2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great value & great accuracy I been using this Air rifle for over 4 years and works great, excellent accuracy, excellent for practice, fun with the bb's and even hunting small animals such as squirrels, rats, rabbits and doves using pellets...the only but is the hard way to load the pellet. 08/19/2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by VERY ACCURATE WITH PELLETS, not so much with BBs.. BB shots can vary up to 3 inches at 10 yards, however pellets are DEAD ON with this. I kept getting random 2-3 inch variance with BBs at 10 yd, so I thought I'd try pellets. Pellets hit dead on every shot, every time, because of the rifled barrel and the pellet spinning. I have had this for about a year and BBs are more accurate with the same model that is over 10 years older. I have shot hundreds more BBs through this newer one, so the barrel might just be worn a bit, but with pellets I have no drop, or variance. AWESOME with pellets! 01/08/2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awsome gun I just recently bought this gun with destroyer pellets already shot 2 squrrils one shot one kill 10 pumps, the scope not that good but works, Very good gun for the price i recommend this gun to anyone who wants to hunt or just target pratice..... Rated 4 out of 5 by great pellet gun bad bb gun the scope is junk . when you open the package just throw the scope in the garbage can and buy the tasco 3-7 x 20 Rim Fire Scope . on the web site it says it's a bushnell , but it's a tasco . the scope is cheap enough that it still makes the pellet gun a cheap rat gun . i agree that the pellets with the scope on is kinda pain in the behind ,. but i can kill a rat at 25 yards every time . when i use the bb's i can't hit nothing . when i use the pellets i can hit a halfdollar size target every shot thats with 10 pumps on the handle at 25 yards 09/12/2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by I purchased my Daisy 880 several years ago and took it home and put it in a closet. Yesterday I took it out tried it out with the open sights. I soon learned it has a marked preference for certain brands of pellets and how many times you pump it up. With 3 pumps the pellets keyholed (hit the target sideways). I worked my way up to 10 pumps and was able to get quarter to half dollar sized groups at 10 yards. Not good but my eys are 68 years old so I wasn't ready to blame the rifle just yet. Today I installed the little 3/4 inch scope that came with it. At first I discovered that I was unable to adjust it and all the shots were hitting 4 inches high and 5 inches right. Again not good but I used an old trick I use with my firearm scopes. I lightly tapped on the adjustment screws after each adjustment. Shazam! It worked and in a few minutes I was shooting clover leafs (all pellet holes touching) with this "cheap junk" scope and rifle. Other than the obvious problems with this type of scope such as critical eye allignment, it performed as it should. One drawback is the scope mounts are too high for the shooter's cheek to make proper contact with the cheek piece on the stock. For me, my face contacted half way between my cheek and chin. Not conducive to a solid hold. I finally settled on 2 types of pellets. Gamo Raptor pellets and Gamo Rocket balistic tip. Both turned in stellar performances. My other pellets will probably go into my lead pot and become a fishing sinker. As for the Daisy 880 it's self, I found the cocking lever tended to bend into an arc when pumping beyond 4 or 5 pumps. To correct this you have to place the heel of your hand forward of the "D" handle on the lever with your palm flat against the lever and push the lever down with an even pressure being careful not to get your hand in the crack in the forearm where the lever rests. Also the trigger pull is about 15 to 20 pounds and requires some concetration for an even pull. For an economical pellet rifle for cleaning up starlings around the bird feeders or barn it would be hard to beat. Just buy one and don't expect a $400 rifle for under $50. It will probably get a better scope later on but for now this one works fine. 07/02/2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by One of the best This airgun is very accurate, powerful, and most of all reliable. The 4x15 scope is very accurate if u take about 30minutes-1hour to zero it in.I would use pellets for best results. This gun is also good for small animal hunting.I shot a bird out of a tree 20 yards away, and it was a 1 shot kill.It didnt even move after it was shot, it just fell out of the tree 12/21/2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by Solid shooter This bb gun is exactly what you would expect. A few adjustments to the iron sights and it is a very accurate gun. I have had this for over 2 years and it is still shooting great. 12/21/2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by awsome pest hunter The daisy 880 is well worth the money.I recomend crosman premium pellets, and dont use bbs because they are inaccurate.I recomend pumping it 10 times to kill pests. The scope it comes with is not that bad if you take your time to sight it in.This was my first pellet gun i have ever had and I loved it.YOU NEED ONE 06/17/2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by i got the same 880 for about 5 years now and still shooting like the first time i have done pest control, target shooting and allways gets it. About 30 yards any varmint size pest you can see an open hole the other side so is pretty powerful and enougth to give a good past time. My friend like it so much hes getting next week, and the price makes this rifle even better.aka i dont used the scope. 05/17/2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good Beginner BB Rifle It works perfect for a young beginner that it was bought for. Scope easy to mount and set. Very easy to teach son with. 12/28/2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by Fun and accurate It shoots well, it is accurate and a lot of fun. Easy to pump. 09/25/2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by so far, so good...she's a DAISY! purchased this air rifle for no reason, it looked so nice in the blister pack & the low price of $45 was acceptable. air rifle shoots both bb's & pellets (i will only shoot pellets in this rifle). after cutting it out of the blister pack & reading the owners manual, i noticed the rifle is very light; even with the scope mounted. its practically made up of all plastic, pretty durable/robust plastic. i proceeded to pump 10x (very easy to pump) & load (tricky to get the pellet to fall in there properly) the rifle for its' first shot. i chose a target at a distance of 5 meters, using the iron sights it shot low & to the right. after proper sight in & using 10 pumps, 7.9grain crosman wadcutters are in a one clover-leaf hole; 5 shot grouping. i was satisfied that i did not purchase a dud & this would be a keeper (just in case, i've held onto the receipt). using these same pellets, i chrony'ed the rifle dirty: 653fps/7.48fpe. it took about 6 patches to clean the muck out of the barrel using the 'goo-gone-on-a-weed-wacker-line' method. now its' a bit faster & harder at: 660fps/7.65fpe. just for kicks i chrony'ed it with 12 pumps: 687fps/8.29fpe. after mounting the included scope, seated with a bag rest, i can stack the pellets in a tight one-hole 5 shot group at 5 meters. i will re-sight the scope for 10 meters, i'm sure i will be happy with the results. so far, so good though i've only put about 100 pellets through it...she's a DAISY! 08/15/2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Favorite bb gun i've ever owned I'm big on bb guns and airsoft guns i've had this rifle for about 4 years and its been the best one for me to go outside target practice with and hunt with (small game birds, bunny, etc). it is not a cheapy bb gun that breaks in a year it's a very nice powerful gun. i'd recomend it for beginners because it doesn't shoot to hard if you don't pump much but it's got good accuracy. The only thing bad is the scope it doesn't work well but if you can set it it will be about 3 cm off but not really a biig deal for children. 06/05/2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by the best i had this bb gun for about 9years i lost it one year buried in the dirt and found it cleaned it off and still shot like brand new.. i see why they still sale it after all these years. im amazed at this model how it still works so great 04/27/2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by The scope that comes with it is a piece of junk! Don't even bother with it. The gun has good power but I had to dink around with the sights for a long while before they were on target from 25 ft away. The pump on it is plastic and thin and I am guessing that it will break after a bit of use. It is good for a first gun (without the scope), but I would not recommend it to anyone looking for something of high quality. Only had it for a few hours and I am probably going to take mine back and get something else. 10/21/2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fine little gun. Certainly accurate for a novice 9 year old. 01/06/2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by very good gun I bought it and the next day I killed 2 squirrels and a bird all from about 15 yards away one shot kill. But bad scope 10/25/2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by tip for pellets i figured this out on the second pellet.... slide the bolt forward slightly as to cover the BB hole and drop the pellet in in roughly the right position.. done worse case you might have to tap it 09/21/2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by good gun for the price Pro: I wasn't sure what I'd get for $45 but after getting it home and adjusting the scope, I am pleasantly surprised. Using standard bb's I hit a 2.5" diameter target 4 out of 5 times at 73' and I have shot other pigeon sized targets from about 90' away with no problem. Will easily go through both sides of a soup can with 5 pumps about 55' away with a lead pellet. Good gun for the money and great for plinking targets in a smaller backyard. Con: with regard to the multi pump action, I wish there was a way to disengage the retainer spring that holds the pump lever in until ready to shoot. While pumping it makes an annoying clicking sound. 08/03/2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great overall value and shooter My first 880 had an issue with the cocking mechanism and the magnet had shot out the front. Pellet grouping with the daisy variety pellet pack yeilded decent groupings at 1-1/2 inch @ 20yds. Most shots not over 3 pumps due to limited space. Recommend crosman premier hollow or domed and RWS Wadcutter. BB accuracy not great however loose grouping at 3-4 inches @10 yds. The new replacement rifle cocking is straight to the rear and crisp as opposed to the first one which i noted the handle would go into the rifle at a funny angle. I noted new one to sound like a tuning fork after shot? and seem stronger pump for pump comparison. Recommend trigger mod as taking the slack up to break point is annoying. Overall great value and best in its price group. Recommend better scope, good pellets, and break in procedure listed in other review. 07/28/2012
Rated 1 out of 5 Good BB gun. Terrible pellet gun. Very cheaply made, all hollow plastic. The pump handle is a thin plastic rod that is almost certainly going to break after enough use. Pellets are incredibly difficult to load with the scope on, sometimes becoming jammed into the BB magazine if you're not careful. The only way I've managed to quickly get the pellet into the breach with the scope on is by using tweezers. Then, once it's loaded, the spread is around 1-3 inches. At 15 feet! It's ridiculous. I bought this to use as a pellet gun in hunting rats, but it's impossible to get close enough to hit them. There are better guns out there for the same amount of cash. Don't waste it on this. However, it's a fun BB gun, so I imagine a young boy would get a kick out of it. 07/02/2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best gun ever used When I got the gun it shot it shot a little high. Got about 6 birds the first day. Sighted it in the first day and shot 4 birds with 4 pellets. Buy the gun and sight it in first, after that fun shooting. 07/31/2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by READ THIS This gun is great, first starting plinking cans to get my accuracy with the scope zeroed in and then moved to live game, works like a charm it does, had it for about 2-3 weeks and something inside of it imploded and jammed over my bolt, i could bring the bolt back, and pump air, but when i pulled the trigger, air only escaped form the gun when you opened the bolt again, its great over all, jussy make sure you dont over pump this thing, it may implode. 07/07/2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by I got it for a reason and it does fine for this reason. I read some reviews that some didn't like the gun. But I would recommend this bb or pellet gun. I know someone that has one and he's had it for years. He really likes it. Me too. 07/13/2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by The reason I gave this gun poor is because the gun is made very cheap. The first 880 they came out with about a year or so ago only had one screw to hold the stock in position which allows the stock to move side to side from the rest of the gun. If you own one of these guns hold the gun where the scope would mount( Of course remove the Scope) now move the stock side to side. It will move side to side. If you do this and watch the barrel it will show to move side to side a half inch or more. This will cause the gun to be inaccurate and making it difficult to set the scope correctly. Now they have upgraded the ones that you will buy now with the original screw in place and then two screws on each side at the back where the stock goes into the gun. Well i started to buy this gun again because it had the upgraded screws in the back. But just so happened I went to walmart and there was one partially opened already so i checked to see if it would move side to side and trust me there is no difference. The gun still moves side to side. As far as having POWER it is a strong bb gun. But what good is that if you cant hit something from 30 feet away. Yes you might hit it once or twice but the next time you will move the stock and miss. DO NOT BUY THIS GUN. THE GRIZZLY CAMO GUN IS MADE THE SAME WAY. I would recommend the CROSMAN 760 PUMP MASTER. EVEN THOUGH IT SAYS 625 FEET PER SECOND I WOULD PUT IT AGAINST ANY OF THE TWO OF THESE GUNS 05/14/2012
