i love this little can the dog was constantly getting into the bathroom waste can to shred the paper. this little can stopped him. in fact it is a bit to heavy for a medium size dog to easily knock over.i also have seen the same can in other stores for a much higher price.it looks well made and should not rust. 03/15/2010

Useful product I believe it will accomplish my purpose--that of preventing garbage odors in kitchen. I will be gentle in stepping on foot pedal, as I have seen so many broken ones in public restrooms. 05/11/2011
Love it I have an older model I use for a compost bucket, and it works great! Traps in odors (even rotten onions) and keeps out fruit flies. The hands-free operation is perfect for tossing in scraps while preparing food. The removable bucket with a handle makes taking scraps to the backyard easy. After I empty the bucket, I rinse it out and spray the inside with vinegar, which keeps food on the bottom from molding until I empty it again. It's the perfect size and I only have to empty it when it's full, about every 3-4 days.I hope this new model has a nonskid bottom, as the old one tends to migrate slowly as you step on the pedal.Going to order another for a diaper pail. 05/17/2010
