I did notice a slight smell (not strong), but it was almost gone within a few days.

I personally did not notice them and I am sensitive to such smells also.

NOT AT ALL. I was laying on it directly out of the box, slept on it that night and every night since. No smell at all. NOW I also bought a shower curtain liner, that smells AWFUL, lol, so I am very sensitive to smells

they are the same. its not that hard to sit on as i thought, but i wouldnt sleep on it.

Its pretty firm, you wont want to flop on it, but it is comfy to lay on. same firmness as the futon versions and the multiple adjust head height is good - I like I own like 20 of them in both the chaise and the futon they are really nice

It sits exactly like the Emily Futon. If you like a firm seat, you will like this.

It's pretty similar. Grab yourself a big plush throw, quilt or afghan! For the Emily sofa, I find that pillows are essential, I lie down and watch TV on it fine but do find myself sometimes wishing I had gone with something a big more "plop down and sink in" if you know what I mean.

This is a little smaller than a twin bed. I purchased the chase and futon, and you can put them together for a very nice size full/queen bed. I was impressed with the quality of the fabric. Most of the leather look futons are shinny. This is a very flat leather simlar to leather car interior.

I'd say this is smaller than a twin. Maybe 20% smaller. The accompanying futon should be about a double but the same thing applies there - I'd say it's about 10-20% smaller than a double bed.

this is cot size in width (30") but is only around 70" long which is shorter than most cots when it lies flat.

This is not a twin size, it is smaller only 30 inches across and about six feet long.
