Well, they really don't have a dark stain all. The wood is much lighter than pictured and that was a bummer. Other than that they are sturdy and work fine for us. 04/16/2013

Rated 3 out of 5 by adellea solid tables for the price but... We bought 2 night stands in white for our guest room. They were easy to put together and surprisingly solid. My complaint is that the manufacturer skimped on the paint. It is not a nice lacquer; rather you can see wood grain through the paint. It doesn’t look shabby-sheik- it just looks like someone forgot to do the second coat of paint. While I can live with that, the problem is that it is missing a sealant -- I’m sure that heat or liquid would damage the surface. I still feel good about the purchase because they look nice and are sturdy but ... you get what you pay for… 04/08/2013
