this gun is the real deal- its not the cheap plastic BB Guns you see everywhere. it feels like a 22 riffle and meets its velocity promises with ease. Great Gun

This air rifle packs a significant punch for its very reasonable price. Lower weight pellets certainly break the sound barrier, as evidenced by the loud crack heard when firing. I've intentionally gone with a heavy pellet (10.5 gr Crosman Premier Ultra Magnum) to avoid this. It is a great rifle for target shooting, plinking, and hunting crows and small animals. Very pleased with this purchase.

    • A. yes it has a 45 to 55 lbs pull to load. It it is not a pump gun. Pull barrel down to load 1 time. Use only .177 pellets not bb's, they will damage gun

    • A. Not sure but I measured mine and initial effort after the detent is 3lbs. At 1/2 way thru travel it's 9lbs. With the barrel at 90 degrees to the body it's 16lbs. And the peak pressure just before latching is 21lbs. Not bad at all and you'll probably not find another gun that's easier without going down to a power level that he's not going to be happy about.

    • A. My son is 14, stands 5'5", and "solid built"...he has NO problem with it. It is much firmer to pump than I expected it to be, but if you put the butt of the gun on your thigh, it makes it much easier to pump.

    • A. I guess they differ with different batches judging from the replies. Mine had plastic sights front and back. The trigger is metal but looks like plastic. The trigger guard is plastic and some plastic ones look like metal. The cap on the rear end is a plastic cover over metal. The barrel, the main body, the linkage, all the internals including the safety are all metal.
