    • A. The inscription on the gun itself will state Crosman 2100 classic. 2100b is the actual stock number on the box.

    • A. Take a look at what comes in the package. Most of the time the letter indicates a package of some sort such as bb's included or safety glasses, or targets.

    • A. Yeah, the original box says 2100B. New, not refurbished. But the Classic 2100 has been modified over time to use more plastic parts. Receiver and barrel, however, are still good metal, and it is blued metal, not painted metal.

    • A. It is the 2100B. I just received mine not too long ago. I thought it was going to be the one that I had as a kid, which was the 2100 Classic, but when it came the box said 2100B.

Had a problem, after maybe 100 shots the pump handle (metal part inside the handle) bent outward and made trying to pump it impossible.Hopefully I can return it for another one cause this is a nice gun.

The 2100 was one of the best '10-pumps' when I was a kid and I'm happy to report that it still is today. This gun shoots nicely, has good weight and balance, and is nice and accurate. It's made in the USA too which is nice to see in today's day and age. It's a little difficult cocking for smaller folks but my 11 year-old can manage it. Also, loading pellets seems difficult at first but once you get the trick, no problem. You have to point the gun down, rest the pellet on the magnetized breach and then push the pellet in and it will fall right where it needs to go. The sights are ok but I'd recommend a scope to get the most out of the gun. I went with the 3-9x X 20mm -- the extra width compared to the default 4X15mm these things are typically paired with makes a lot of difference when shooting and it is a lot easier for my kids to see the targets. Gun ships quickly but it just comes in the Crosman box so beware if you are buying this as a present. I'm very happy with this gun for the price paid and for what I got.

This BB Gun is perfect to start out a new young shooter. We bought it for our grandson for Christmas. It is easy to load and has a good capacity for multiple shots. it is relatively accurate (not the guns fault of missing the mark) and has plenty of power for target shooting or small pest.

My brother had a 760 when we were kids, we must have shot thousands of pellets and BBs through it over the years. We could hit bottle caps all day from about 25 yards with a junky scope on the rifle. I went looking for the same model and the 2100 classic is exactly what we had as kids. Today's version has the fancier fiber optic sight, but I got a scope that cost about as much as the gun and dialed it in. I needed no refresher, I knew exactly what to do with the gun when it came via UPS. It arrived in the Crosman red white and blue retail box and it was just sitting on my front porch when I got home, and the box was beat up, but the rifle seemed (and was) fine. The pump action was smooth, a little tight, but it's loosened a bit after a few hundred pumps. I've decided to only use Pellets in this gun, I got 500 hollow points and 250 destroyers, both Crosman brand ammo. I get them in the chamber the right way about half the time, I use a tiny screw driver to flip the pellets around the right way in the chamber. It's an easy gun to operate and I've found 5 pumps is enough for 1/2" groups at about 25 yards... I've really got the scope dialed in and it's tons of fun to shoot. A great gun to teach youngsters gun safety and the responsibility of having one. It is certainly no toy and if it's as durable as the gun we punished so throughly as kids, I'll probably have it for the rest of my life.

Bought this pellet rifle for my 13 year old grandson. He is having a blast with it shooting cans and toys he has out grown. However, it doesn't strike me as anything too special as the pellet rifles that I own are of much better quality than the current off the shelf pellet rifles that are sold at department stores. Dont take me wrong, this pellet rifle is perfect for beginers and younger shooters that are just satisfied with punching holes in soda cans and popping the occasional tweety that wanders near. Overall quality is not as good as it use to be, but this pellet rifle has been manufactured for several years and still cost less than 60 bucks so some quality had to be sacrificed to keep the price low so younger shooters can afford it. I really cant complain, when I was 13 I was shooting the 760 and thought I was John Wayne...... if you like plinking, you cant go wrong with the Crosman 2100 with rifled barrel. (760 is smooth bore)
