  • A. Yes, but it requires a special mount from Crosman.

  • A. You will need barrel adapters from Crosman as it does not come with a mounting rail. I would suggest a steel breech that is available from Crosman, or a number of places on line.

  • A. Yes there are two ways you can mount a scope on your Crosman .177. 1) The cheap way ($10.59) is to buy the mount, which is called an Intermount and is made by Centerpoint. You can find the mount at Crosman.com under the Optic then Rings and Rails section. 2) The more expensive way ($34.96) is you can change the plastic breech on the airgun to a steel breech. The steel breech comes with a dovetail grove already milled into it and you can mount your scope to the dovetail. You can also find the steel breech at Crosman.com. under the Gear section. Hope this helps.

  • A. Yeah, you can order a set of Crossman 3/8" dovetail mounts that mount on the barrel. I'm putting a red dot on mine and just got the mounts a few days ago. They are metal and look pretty good. I've read of issues with them being a little loose and needing shims. I think that's from not reading the instructions for mounting them and then incorrectly mounting them. No problem with mine.

  • A. The Crosman scope mount is 459MT and it's 11mm dovetail. However, there have been problems with it wobbling because the barrel is raised from the tube and the sides of the mount aren't long enough to brace against the pump tube. And like the other person said, don't get a high powered scope because at short ranges it'll be blurry. (the pistol doesn't have the power to be making super long shots anyway)

  • A. You do not need a scope on this pistol but, if you so disire then just go to crosman.com and order your two mount brackets that go on the rifle tube, scope mount , and designed scope for your .177. Tip. only get a scope designed for your pistol. Avoid powerful scopes.

  • A. I really don't think so without modifications. The top of the gun is the rounded barrel. It doesn't have a rail for a scope.

  • A. I don't have an exact figure, but it does not require much effort. Easy for an adult; may be a bit challenging for small children, but then again, they should only be using this with adult supervision so you can pump it for them! Like any other progressive pump, the more you pump it, the harder it is to pump. The pumuping handle is large enough to give the leverage needed to pump it to the maximum recommended pressure (10 pumps).

  • A. Cocking effort is light maybe 3 pounds, Pumping effort is in the range of 10-15 pounds increasing slightly as you go from 1 to 10.

  • A. I'm guessing 10-15 lbs. That's enough to keep it out of "toy" range for small tots. Four pumps will take out a fairly good size varmint out to about 15 yards.

  • A. To keep it simple. On a ten yard target: pump it five times. And on a 25 yard target pump it 10 times only. Warning: do not overpump. It was designed to be pumped up to 10 times only. Let's just follow the rules.

  • A. Minimal for first pump, increases with pumps but so does the power.

Great little air pistol. Very good value, seems as though it will hold up well, many options available to upgrade both power and cosmetics. More accurate than I am. Some typical results you can expect with various pellet weights are as follows: RWS hobby- 11.9 Grains, avg velocity- 449 FPS H&N Sport- 12.65 Grains, avg velocity- 440 FPS Daisy Precision Max - 13.8 Grains, avg velocity- 434 FPS Benjamin - 14.3 Grains, avg velocity- 423 FPS

Cheap shooter with unlimited potential. Crosman 1322 is The Volkswagon Beetle of pellet pistols. There are many, many owner-built modifications to it that will transform a $55 pistol into a $500 tack-driver. Most are effective and are free modifications. Some are costly. Overall a fun, little money pit, hobby. Enjoy while still available and legal to own. Change without hope is coming.

Fun for the money. The .22 over the .177 is more than I expected. Got the .177 for my brother and both are cool, but, the .22 is more fun for me even with less fps than the .177. Remember, it's a pellet gun, not a firearm. Excellent for the casual backyard plink.

I owned a similar gun back in the 1950s and gave it up for the convenience of the new co2 guns that became available. It's great to be back. Great power, accuracy and you don't have to shoot 50 rounds to get rid of the pressure on the seals before you put it away. I have owned several 177 cal guns over the years but none can compare to the power that this gun has. I made wood grips and fore-arm for the gun, and plan to make further upgrades from all of the options available. The price is unbelievable for a heavy, well built, steel gun like this.

This is an economical pistol to buy and shoot. Requires only pellets, no CO2. Sometimes I just pump it twice and shoot at tin cans. Sometimes I pump it eight times for maximum velocity, power and range. You probably will need to sight in your pistol at first using the rudimentary adjustable rear sight. One that's done you're good to shoot anywhere from 10 feet to 100 feet or more. And as always use eye protection.
