The small lid hole is to allow pressure to escape without letting too much moisture escape because the lids with a rubber seal would not vent the pressure otherwise; one brand also uses the hole for a temperature probe when cooking roasts or whole chickens. Our old 6qt round pot does not have a rubber seal lid and does not lock down; it has 4 evenly spaced bumps on the stoneware rim where the lid rests that allows for a small gap between the lid and the stoneware for ventilation.

We previously had one of the old style crock pots, where the crock is not removable, the lid does not have a rubber seal and no bumps on the lid rest rim. On high with a liquid food such as soup the old hole-less lids would continuously rattle and it was reasonably loud with the metal lid rim tapping on the stoneware crock. I really don't miss the old non-removable model, it was also a real pain to clean.

This 6 quart crockpot has made cooking easier throughout the week whenever I'm working and don't have a lot of time to cook a big dinner. With this product, you just add ingredients and then leave it until it is done. This would be perfect for people who work. Plus, it's great for a mom who needs a break from cooking a big meal. Cooking with this product would give her more time for the family or herself. I've cooked all kinds of stuff in this crockpot. It has low, high, and warm settings. I love that you can lock the lid so you can take this anywhere without worrying about spills. The writing on my crockpot has come up, and you can't see the entire word anymore. I took off a star because my dial kept coming off when I first bought it. I ended up losing it, taking this to church for potluck dinners. The 6 quart pot fits quit a bit and feeds my family of 3 people. Plus, we usually have leftovers. Which is perfect for lunch the next day. It's definitely time for me to buy another crockpot. But this has held up and been a great addition to my kitchen.

I've had my crock pot for years, so don't judge the picture lol. It works just how you would expect it to! I always use the low setting. It's easy to clean the inside, I just put my lid and black pot in the dish washer. You will have to unscrew the screw to get the water out from under the handle of the lid though

I had been contemplating a slow cooker since last summer because I don't like heating up the house to make dinner and with 2 small children it's hard to keep them out of the kitchen when the oven is on.

We chose the slow cooker with a lid that can be locked in place for transporting it because it also keeps the kids from being able to open it. Be aware though that the outside of the cooker is still very hot so push it back on the counter where little hands can not reach it!

We just got this crockpot, and it made one of the best Chili's we've ever had. It probably wasn't the crockpot that made it that good, but it did cook it perfectly and absolutely exactly what we expected and hoped for.

Amazing product

Large enough for group get together.Easy to clean and transport lid does an excellent job of sealing for transport. Holds heat when transporting but remember that out side of crock is hot.Just set in heavy card board box when hot transporting due to the heat so vehicle interior wont get messed up from outside heat from crock.

Perfict for family get get to gethers

I have two other smaller crockpots that I've had for years and was ready to upgrade. This is a nice big crockpot, so now I will be able to get a whole roast and veggies in at the same time. I love that the lid has a seal that sits on the base of the crockpot and it also has a little air vent. This crockpot also has nice sturdy carrying handles and a setting that keeps the food warm. The only drawback is the short cord. Great Crockpot for the money if you don't need any of the bells ans whistles of the digital ones. I think mine was actually bought in the store for $19.99.

I've had this crockpot for years. It was given to me as a Christmas gift. I like that it is red and matches my other kitchen appliances. It works very well.

I like it, but I'm not a big fan of the fact that everything I make in it ends up very watery, and the meat dries up. I wish they made it a little different where you could put it apart so it doesn't take that much space.
