A Slow Cooker for first timers I grew up with my Mom's Crockpot brand slow cooker. After my purchase of the "Crock-Pot 5-Quart Slow Cooker", I wish I hadn't waited so long! It is so simple to use. Basically just fix it and forget it. The slow cooker is ideal for those pressed for prep time. You can find a variety of recipes and ingredients. So far I have come up with some pretty impressive meals of chicken, beef, and pork tenderloin. 12/23/2010
