Rated 4 out of 5 by HDKS I purchased the mini cricut only a week ago but I have already used it extensively. I just finished a couple of small scrapbooks for my grandchildren. It was just what I hoped it would be. I am not a tech person but it was so easy to hook up. It only took about 5 minutes and I was up and running. It is small and compact and does not take up much room, next to my computer. My main concern before I bought the machine, was that I would have to purchase cartridges to do anything, but that was not the case. It comes with a few online basic programs that have a couple of different types of letter fonts, words shapes and even some cards to make. I would have given it a five, but my only concern is that I am unsure how long the mat will last before I will need to replace it. Also, it does not cut a lighter weight paper, like computer paper. It works best with card stock. Definitely a great purchase, less expensive and smaller in size than the big cricut. 03/25/2013
