what type and size of mounting rails does this unit handle?  Will it accept most red dot scopes?

what is the dimension for the scope mounting?  Will it take a 20mm mount or what?

Bolts right on the only tools required are a Philips head screw driver and a flat head this will allow most red dots and small scopes

I can't say enough about this. First of all, it was cheaper here that from the manufacturer (!), and it was delivered four days before they said it would be, another (!). The instructions were simple and concise, and I'll say it took less than ten minutes from start to finish. The screws were simple to start, no playing around with getting them in the 'right' angle, and even removing the rear sight is done in a way that if necessary, it'd be a five-to-ten minute job to replace them, at best.

I didn't bother with putting regular thread-locker on them, just a wee dab of clear nail polish and they're there for good. If I were to make a suggestion, it would be for Keystone to groove in a simple rear sight into it, as there's a smidge of space between the scope and base that can serve as a backup sighting channel. Otherwise, it's still a good, solid, and reliable piece of equipment.

There is only only one scope mount for this rifle so it's hard to rate it. I luckily found a mouyfor this little rifle which was a great find and out of all the places to find it Walmart. It definitely saved me time buying one rather than having to fabricate my own. There aren't many rifles today sold with iron sights so this was a major score to teach my children the use of a scope on a light caliber before they start using higher powered rifles and much cheaper using .22 rounds to practice with and emphasise safety and shot placement. They will be pro's soon enough then I can hand over their .243 bolt action rifles. With such low caliber shot placement is important.
