Rated 3 out of 5 by SweetMama Neat idea but not what I expected. My daughter got this item for Christmas. I was very excited to introduce her to painting. This looked like a great idea. W got her some of the paper and put a little paint on it. First, the paint smells like a cookie so she kept trying to eat it. Then the colors coming off the paper were very muted not nearly as vibrant as shown on the package. It also says mess free. The paint was harder to clean than regular finger paints especially after it started to dry. I had to scrub her highchair tray and wash her hands twice to get the greasy paint off. We use a wide variety of art materials in our home as I am an artist. My expectation of this product was that it would be less messy than regular finger paint. It seemed about the same just no color involved. It can still stain so I took all the same precautions as I would with regular finger paint so it wasn't less messy or mess free at all. It's wonderful that crayola keeps trying to engage our toddlers and I say keep it up. But this product is not a winner. The biggest positive was the no wait time for color to appear. My daughter enjoyed it until we cleaned it up and she had to keep getting cleaned up. It took to long for a toddler. 01/03/2013
